....That George Brett's, 1985 Game Seven performance is number ten in the hall of fames top ten greatest game sevens performances ever!

Brett became the third future Hall of Famer to collect four hits in a Game Seven, joining Max Carey (1925) and Willie Stargell (1979). In vanquishing the Cardinals, Brett was 4-for-5 with two runs scored and a stolen base as the Royals won Game Seven, 11-0.

I remember staying up late that night watching the game. As a life-long Cardinals fan (my dad grew up near St. Louis), Mr. Brett and everyone else who played in that game can kiss my ass.
