Hey guys,

What you guys are doing is incredible.  Never before have we had this type of detailed infomation on the worlds greatest game before.  My only concern is that, if you reveal everything there is to know about the game, RBI might lose some of its magic.  Games might become too predicatble, people might always use the same teams to compete because some stat print tells us that certain teams are a lot better than others.  Basically, if you take out all the guess work and answer all the questions like "the tettelton swing" everyone will play the same exact way with the same exact style.  And that would totally suck.  Just a thought....

Nahh ...

Really all the "detailed information" that I've been talking about in the week or so since I've joined the forum is just static data contained within the game. Anyone could've gotten the same data from RBI Manager long before now.

That being said, such "stat prints" already exist. Hell, you can look through the numbers on the dee-nee site and find which teams have better players. Really it just depends on the person. Myself, I almost always play St. Louis, because I happen to be a life-long Cards fan. If I don't feel like them, or if the other player has already picked them, I generally go with Detroit, because their black-and-white uniforms hurt my eyes less than the other ridiculous colors.

You've also gotta remember that we're all human. Mistakes are made. Even if one day the batting engine is found and the highlights are posted, getting that perfect At Bat is dependent on you making the perfect swing, using perfect timing. Not to mention that the pitch has to be in the right spot, and there's a whole other set of human error possibilities to open.
