Oh the fun ...

- Moved "long batting averages" and "per-pitcher batting" hacks to the batters page, moved "long ERAs" to the pitchers page, and condensed the hacks page. This should make more sense, and be more convenient if you use any of those hacks.

- Added "Long team names" hack. This allows any of the team names displayed during attract mode (if you let the game sit at the title screen) to be up to 13 characters in length.

- Added a new page to configure error (well, BOP) probability per team. Use it, or don't use it.

WOW.  I think this is a HUGE new feature!  Awesome!

I predict future ROMs with like 50% BOP percentage.

I always thought it would be fun to play when you couldn't make a play to save your life.  Maybe this should be added to the Heaven/Hell rom.  27 strike outs in a won game would be quite the achievement.

What do you think the chances of making an overstuffed rom with every team are?  Highly unlikely to impossible?

Nightwulf,  this is great!  Can you create ways to edit different things we think of?  I bet the people around here could come up with some interesting things to edit.

All I can say is sweet! ;D  Just one thing though: ZoneAlarm Pro doesn't like the editor.  My trial expired today, so I can use it again. :P

See that'd be no fun. Legitimate uses of fiddling with error probability I can think of are setting them to zero to eliminate BOPs, making all teams even, or actually coming up with realistic values based on team performance. Then again, playing with errors cranked to 255 is kinda fun. You actually find yourself stopping and thinking, 'would it be quicker to field this and take the error, or let it roll to the wall to avoid the error?'

Adding more teams to the game isn't something I'm planning to tackle. It'd require massive code changes, to say the least.

Well, I'm always looking for suggestions on new things to toss in the editor. It has to be something than can be done within the game engine, though.

I can think of no reason ZoneAlarm would have any problem with the editor, unless it's ridiculously strict about cookies.

Indeed, the Pro ZoneAlarm is an asshat with cookies.  But the free version covers me just fine.  I just switched back to it, maybe I can FINALLY do my Politico ROM?  ...or not.

Is it possible to set each fielder's error probability?  And/or is it possible to have error probability increase significantly if a bench player takes a position that he normally wouldn't play?  For example--Tony Armas at 2b...

No; errors are coded per-team, not per-player.

And no, because as far as the game is concerned, there are only two positions: pitcher, and anything but pitcher.
