dee-nee house games for 3/12/2005

We got the whole crew here today - Lips, Pots, Sperling and myself.  The NES was putting up a fight, I had to take the entire top half off and force the cart down with a UPS battery.  Yes, we are playing like this.  Here's a photo...

Lips (Ca) and Sperling (Dt) are starting off, the beers have been opened....

Game one goes to Lips:

Lips (Ca) 12, 8 HRs
Sperling (Dt) 6, 6 HRs

Two on, one-out in the 9th and Gibby to bat.  Lips brings in Donnie Moore and he shuts down Gibson and Evans...

The bottom half of the NES and a stack of CDs with a very heavy UPS battery bridged between them.   It pushes the  NES cart down so the game will come up....

Game Two was a classic:

Lipitz (Ca) - 12, 8 HRs
Potsie (Dt) - 11, 8 HRs

Potsie comes back in the 9th with 4 runs.  Two outs, Chet Lemon Party up to bat.  Potsie pauses and almost brings in Heath Bar.  Stays with Lemon, hits a liner towards the wall that gets Travolta'ed by Brian Downing.  Ballgame...

Lips must lose.  Potsie's out grabbing beer.  I'm up next.

We're listening to Irish folk music and Gantry's on his knees imitating Darnay Scott while playing.

Bops suck, big time!!!!  Gantry built up a good lead on me, but I came back in the 6th/7th to get within 2.  And then I was dealt ass...

With 2 outs, Gantry put up 5 runs on two bops.  The first bop happened when some bitch hit it directly back at the pitcher.  What happened?  He concuss'ed.  It was one of those "super" bops.  And the rest is history.

Lipitz (Ca) 15, 13 homers

Gantry (Dt) slaughtered Mark (Bo) in 2 innings, 12-2 on 10 homers to 2.

I just got hosed!!!!  I came up with a huge inning in the top of the eighth.  I scored 6  runs to get within 1.  Gantry came back with an insurance run, to get up 2.  Potatoes hit a single to lead off the inning.  But with a line drive to third and me trying to run back to first (fuck you controller!!!!), G turned two.  I couldn't recover...

I lost with Ca to Gantry's Dt...by two.  Not sure of the score...

The "bad" controller is like 1-6...Gantry won the only game with it (and immediately changed controllers).

Complete domination, it only went 4 innings.  Vit hasn't played in awhile though....

I played a terrible game.  I was down 17-6 going into the bottom of the 8th.   9 runs later I made a game out of it.  Bottom of the 9th, no outs, runners on 1st and 2nd.   Brookens is up and I can't sub the pitcher.  I decide to bring in Heath Bar, big mistake...

Double play, then ballgame when King gets the weak popout...

Twas a good run though, Dee-Nee!

Sperling had the lead most of the game, Potsie came back late but it was for naught.  Sperling wins two game for the first time in god knows how long...

Fucking Heath, how do you DP in that situation?

Anyway, Lips (Ca) is up against Sperling (Dt) now, with Rock Against Bush vol1 on the stereo.  CDs played so far:
