So I was playing Jason (Vitb6) tonight and we saw a new glitch.  I guess it could be considered a variation of the Phantom Foul Ball Glitch.

Anyways, I was batting with my pitcher and I hit one of those balls where it pretty much went straight up and the shadow of the ball was very hard to see.  I saw it, but Jason didn't.  The ball was coming down ever-so slightly behind the catcher, but Jason had his pitcher placed in front of his catcher.  When Jason finally saw the ball coming down, it was too late.  The ball bounced BEHIND the catcher, and then Jason's pitcher picked the ball up on the bounce up.  All logic would say that the ball would be called foul.  BUT IT WASN'T!!!!

My pitcher was credited with a double.

Fknmcweird...
RBI isn't just a game, it's a lifestyle...

Got another one (fairly similar)

Bases loaded, John Tudor's up (It's like the second or third inning, far too soon for a pinch hitter), 1 out, I bunt the ball, goes straight up and comes back down, the catcher bops it, my guy from third scores after the catcher throws it to first and get Tudor out...The catcher had already positioned himself onto the plate by the time it was bopped (one would think), but yet no out was recorded at home...It should also be noted, OctoFranco had a heart attack, I won the game (five game series, this was the decisive game) and beat Boston by one run in the fifth game

It was hit that high that your pitcher got a double out of it??

Also, you saw the shadow and Vitb didn't? I'd say he needs to make an appointment with an eye doctor.

He thinks he saw it but I don't think he did.  It wasn't there.  I contend that the ball hit the catcher on the way down.  I'm not convinced that it landed behind the catcher at all.  More like it hit right on top of the catcher.

I was a little in front of the catcher because I didn't see the fucking ball and  if it landed behind the catcher it would be foul which is better than if it landed in front of the catcher.  I think it hit the catcher (without a bob) and it was called fair.

Regardless, it was a BS double.
