To all those with a lefty bias: Do you consider putting in a lefty pitcher to get an extra left handed bat in the lineup?

no way, though lefty batters are much prefered... a lefty pitcher batter is not going to do half of what even a righty no. 8 hitter would do.   also, i would argue that the "lefty hit" has no effect if a pitcher is the batter.
