a quick summary....

pedro got rocked in the first inning for 7 runs....we had a bit of a technical problem and the game reset itself, but everything was corrected.....on the bat of manny ramirez, the red sox made a valliant comeback, and had it within a run in the top of the 5th..then, a shot off the wall by david ortiz, he tried to stretch it to two...a gun in left tossed out mr ortiz and deflated the sox rally....a great opening game for both teams....

The Reds defeated the brewers soundly 12-1, stats are incomplete because we had the game on vframe 11 to start, and reset and continued the game at 7.

summary: Schmit faced off against Lowe in another grueling matchup.
1:The first inning started off with a bang when Bonds hit a 2-run homer with Cruz Jr on base. Red Sox showed that they were keeping up when Martinez drove in a run. However, the Red Sox were stopped short after an awesome double play at 3rd and 2nd ended the inning.
The Giants kept the scoreboard running with two runs batted in by Arilia and Bonds. Alfonzo hit a 2-run homer to increase the lead. However the Red Sox scored runs with the heart of their lineup. Parra and Martinez both hit RBIs. Nixon and Hillenbrand drove in runs and the game was tied coming into the 4th inning. Bernard hits (a record?) of 11 consecutive foul balls! After scoring a run, with two outs, the Giants were up by one and Boston's catcher bloops on a fly foul by from Alfonzo. The next pitch Alfonzo took advantage of the error and drove in another run. Bottom of the 4th Nixon drove in a run and tied the game again. No runs in the 5th so we go to exxtra innings. Top of the 6th, Cruz blasts a 2-run homer followed by a Bonds dinger (like you didn't expect that would happen). Rodriguez was the closer for the Giants as he threw a strike out and through plenty of heat. Good game, look forward for another match!
