Azz- I recommend that you only do this if you plan on picking it up, shipping is gonna be expensive

Shipping appears to be 150-200 bucks...That's why if I can get it for <300 I'd be willing to do it, anything higher than that and I'll scrap the idea, just about a day left so who knows what could happen. The last one I saw went for around $500, I believe.

I'm still a little up in the air about it though, especially since I've got the Arcade RBI for the NES now.

Hey guys, I'm gonna go for it, I live in Milwaukee and would be able to pick that sum bitch up... ...my wife has given me clearance to an extent... ...now I'm a bit nervous because it's almost in my paws...

Fuck you man, I ain't got no soggy bottoms... ...I've got astroids though....  8)

Actually I'm Milwindyguy, changed my name to bastardo due to a nickname change here in Mil-town, hard to shake some times, ya know...

I'm always checkin' in here and it may have paid off in the way of an affordable RBI machine... ...I hope so anyway.

Hey Dirt, just realizing that the ebay seller is soggy bottoms... ...I see what you are getting at now, nope I'm not him, although I seem to be drawing too much attention to the machine I really want to buy...

My ebay user name is macadudley and I am currently the high bidder.  :)

Thanks for all of the congrats!

After bragging about it all Friday night, my best friend (and one helluva RBI player) and I decided to drive up to Green Bay first thing Saturday morning.

My wife was pissed.

So we drive the two hours up to Green Bay, in my piece of shit station wagon, and the guy isn't home!!!  After a nervous 20 minute McDonalds stint the dude called us and we shoved the machine into the back of the wagon.

After a very rough ride home, with the thing bouncing around, we were certain it wouldn't fire up... ...then it took us about an hour to get the thing into the basement (that sucked, but we were on a high over retaining the Ax from Minnesota on the block punt)... ...flipped the switch... and RBI came on!!!!!!! Golf did not <-- but who cares?

Works perfectly... ...then when I turned it on yesterday, Golf actually came on also, although I didn't really test out the game because I was playing RBI.

$145 even is what he took as payment and RBI works flawlessly... ...picked up some flowers a couple of movies and a card for my wife (for sweetest day) and mended the fences.

I'm still pretty amped.

I showed my wife this thread.  She said that she would end me if I spent $145 on an arcade game.  That said, I do envy you.  I hope that you enjoy the shit out of it.

JoeDirt

are you talking $145 Canadian or American? ???

You make 6 figures and your wife won't let you spend $145 on something you want, or she just doesn't want an arcade machine around?

don't worry, just go over to shooty's house he's got plenty of room in his basement for an arcade machine... you can keep it there.  and if you wife kicks you out, you can move into said basement.

I didn't approach the wife properly at all intially and it burried me in the long run... ...due to my high excitement level the initial conversation went like this:

"Hey come look at this, we're going to buy it!"

a little banter and then the kicker...

"I can just drive up there tomorrow (sweetest day, on which we were married two years ago) and pick it up, no shipping, isn't that great?"

She was pissed, but seems to be over it at this point, real anniversary is today so it's not like I crapped on the actual wedding day.

She grew up real poor and she likes the idea of saving money but the real issue is the space.  We live in a downtown condo and our floorspace is limited.
