No fair picking on EDF when he's not here to defend himself...
Stockholm, Sweden (CNN International) – The Empire will be making it's highly anticipated debut this week. The Empire will be at home to a sellout crowd against the 2-2 GDavis. Swedish actor Dolph Lundgren(Drago) will be throwing out the first pitch.
Team work outs have been crisp and very demanding. nomaa has brought a new vigor to the team formerly known as the Mexican Hermaphrodite Whores. In a scrimmage game against the Rebel Alliance, The Empire easily cruised to a 29-0 win after 2 innings.
The Darkside had these brief comments in a statement, "We are very familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of GDavis. Their top three hitters in the lineup can make all the difference in the universe. If they go, so goes the rest of the lineup. They can put up some crooked numbers in a hurry. We feel that we have structured a pitching strategy to minimize their power.
Their pitching does not worry us nor will any pitching staff worry us. Jimmy Key has a very deceptive fastball, but we feel our hitters should have a productive day.
Due to Jim Lindeman's work ethic, Lukenomaa and I have elected to put him on the bench in favor of a more heads up Lenny Dykstra. Our official line up is as follows" :
1. Lenny Dykstra
2. Wade Boggs
3. Don Mattingly
4. Dale Murphy
5. Pedro Guerrero
6. Wally Joyner
7. Terry Pendleton
8. Tony Pena
Bench:
1. Ryne Sandberg
2. Jim Lindeman
3. Mookie Wilson
4. Jose Cruz
Pitching:
Bobby Ojeda
Mike Krukow
Eric King
Calvin Schiraldi
The GDavis @ The Empire game is now complete. Game video is attached. Box score and recap to follow.

GDavis Spoils Debut of The Empire, Wins 24-23
DEE NEE CITY - A bizarre fielding play on a double by Gene Larkin in the eighth inning turned out to be the difference as GDavis played spoiler in the Fantasy RBI League debut of The Empire on Sunday night, taking a 24-23 decision in front of a packed house at Tengen Stadium. The Empire is the new team name of the former Mexican Hermaphrodite Whores, who were taken over by Swedish playboy Dark Side after the disappearance of former owner Ryno.
Larkin hit a double into the right field corner that would have kept the slow-footed Matt Nokes at third base. However, ther ball became wedged in a crevice in right field, and when Pedro Guerrero attempted to throw the ball back into the infield, the ball hit the railing twice, the second time bounding the bleachers. Tragically, one spectator was killed and three others were injured as the ball appeared to travel and estimated 340 mph as it ricocheted through the concourse.
Empire players, who had previously seen their team placed under league control, had mixed emotions about their new owner.
"It's good to see a baseball person in charge of the team, but man, that guy is weird,' said Empire shortstop Terry Pendleton after the game. "We weren't able to take any batting practice because Dark Side decided to give us a pregame speech. I didn't think it would last 45 minutes, and I'm still not sure what the Lost City of Atlantis, the Illuminti or former "Emergency!" star Randolph Mantooth had to do with any of it."
"And the food, let's not even get into that," added Wade Boggs. "I thought Ryno's buffet spread was bad, but I'll take collard greens and hog's feet over roast suckling pig, kringlors and seven-day old lutefisk any day of the week."
Tony Armas led GDavis (3-2) by going 5 for 7 with two home runs and six RBI. Jesse Orosco picked up the win in relief, while Dave Righetti pitched a perfect ninth to pick up his first save of the season.
Don Mattingly and Tony Pena each homered twice for The Empire (3-2) in defeat.

Post Game Press Conference
(Breath, breath.) The Empire would first like to apologize to our fans and sponsors for not being victorious in our home opener. We battled hard and showed great resiliency, but we came up short in the ninth inning. The Force was indeed strong in GDavis and his RBI Jedi Knights Tony Armas and Jack Clark.
We have a lot of work to accomplish in order to play disciplined and flawless baseball . The mental errors on offense and defense were the deciding factors in our defeat. We had some unacceptable mental errors, and if not for the terms and conditions set by the RBI Governing body, Pedro Guerrero would have been executed by my bounty hunter directly after the game.
Q: What do you think of the fiasco over Pedro Guerrero's throwing error on the railing and the tragic death of a fan?
A: (Breath, breath.) You will address me as Lord Darkside. I am a Dark Lord of the Sith. In answer to your question, Pedro has to realize that he is no longer in the Dominican League, and that kind of mental throwing error is completely unacceptable. His stupidity clearly does not reflect what we demand. He struck out with the bases loaded the previous inning, and he allowed to take a horrible at bat out into the field. I shall determine his punishment and that will stay private. Clambutt shall be resurrected by this evening and Pedro has apologized for killing him.
Q: What is your response to accusations that the you have been described as "weird or uncanny" and that the players are not very pleased with the clubhouse table spread?
A: (Breath, breath.) I am strong with the Force. I am trained in the ways of the Force, and I have hired a team of bounty starhole blasters to deal with my critics. As for the food, I have terminated and executed our team chef Erhajj and his vegan ways. We have appointed the Swedish Chef to make the necessary arrangements to meet our wishes and desires for the clubhouse table spread.
Q: What is your response to my critique and the criticisms of your sponsors who have expressed concerns that you may not win the RBI Fantasy League with your totalitarian style of management which has the players on edge a bit?
A: (Breath, breath.) Things are going perfectly according to our plans. I find your lack of faith disturbing.
There is still a lot of baseball left. I am strong with the Force and I shall take all necessary measures to insure that our players will be trained quickly and diligently in the ways of the Force. I am their father! No further questions. May the Force bless our Empire.

The CommieHitlers @ The Poopydicks game is complete. Game video attached, box score and recap to follow.
That was the worst defensive showing of all time. This league is fkn rigged. Rigged I say!
Yes, that slaughter was clearly your defense's fault
The Poopydicks Thump The CommieHitlers in Eight Innings, 27-15
DEE-NEE CITY - Brian Downing hit three of his team's 12 total home runs and drove in six as The Poopydicks cruised to another mercy rule victory on Monday night, this on a 27-15 decision over The CommieHitlers in a game played at Tengen Stadium.
The CommieHitlers (2-3) showed some moxie in rallying from a 14-5 deficit to cut the gap to five runs after seven innings. But The Poopydicks responded with seven runs in the eighth inning, icing the game on Tom Brooken's three-run homer.
After the game, CommieHitler's owner Nacho was asked to appraise Downing's hitting performance against his team.
"What's my opinion of Downing's performance!? What the fuck do you think is my opinion of it? I think it was FUCKING HORSESHIT!," Nacho said. "Put that in, I don't fucking care. Opinion of his performance!!? Shit, he beat us with three fucking home runs! What the fuck do you mean, 'What is my opinion of his performance?' How could you ask me a question like that, 'What is my opinion of his performance?' Shit, he hit three home runs! Shit. I'm fucking pissed off to lose the fucking game. And you ask me my opinion of his performance! Shit. That's a tough question to ask me, isn't it? 'What is my opinion of his performance?'"
Nacho later had to be calmed down by club officials by being taken to the training area, where he took a hot bath with a vanilla bath bomb and listened to some relaxing Carole King records.
Ruppert Jones, Andre Dawson and Rob Wilfong all homered twice for The Poopydicks (5-0), who are in danger of running away with the Doverbi Division title. Jose Canseco and Alan Trammell each hit two home runs for The CommieHitlers in defeat.

Gantry and I let Doyle go 8 innings because let's face it, our starting pitching hasn't gotten a whole lot of work thus far this season.
POOPYDICKS!
Indeed, Doyle Alexander needed a little more work. What did I say about that fucker mclane? I knew he'd be a stud this year, too early to say Cy Young?
And seriously, Andre Dawson is really fkn good. This fantasy RBI thing rules...
POOPYDICKS!!!
holy crap. now i don't feel so bad for giving mclane so much grief today in atg.
here's to a second-half collapse.
That was a good recap, fighton. I do use the word "horseshit" pretty often.
Darkside: Yes, Admiral?
Admiral Piett: Our ships have sighted the The Poopydicks for next weeks game on the schedule, Lord. But they are on a terror and Doyle Alexander's assortment of pitches is like an asteroid field and we can not risk...
Darkside: Asteroids and Poopydicks do not concern me, Admiral. I want the Poopydicks and Doyle now, not excuses.
The OC @ The Frank Tanana All-Stars game is complete. And let me tell you, it's a good one. Game video attached...
Carter Lifts The Frank Tanana All-Stars Over The OC, 15-14
DEE NEE CITY - Gary Carter's two-run, walk off home run off of Bob Stanley gave The Frank Tanana All-Stars a dramatic 15-14 victory over The OC in a Fantasy RBI League game played Wednesday night at Tengen Stadium.
"Hey, it's not about me at all - I'm just trying to do what I can to help the team win," said Carter, knocking over teammates in the clubhouse after the game to get to reporters. "I think that's one of my defining traits - my humble nature. In fact, if you wanted to write a feature article highlighting me, that would be a good place to start!"
The OC (2-3) appeared to have the game in hand after taking a 10-5 lead in the fifth inning. But The Frank Tanana All-Stars (2-3) rallied to pull within one run in the sixth inning with four runs - three off of fading starter Dwight Gooden.
Chili Davis homered, scored four and drove in three as part of a 4-for-5 performance to pace the Frank Tanana All-Star's attack. Will Clark homered and collected three hits to lead The OC.

To be fair, Schmidt has been sucking ass this season and never really has been a huge Fantasy performer.

The Nimrods @ Attarack game is complete. Game video is attached, box score and recap to follow.
Raines, Bullpen Leads Attarack Over Nimrods, 13-10
DEE-NEE CITY - Tim Raines went 4 for 5 with home run, triple and two doubles as Attarack defeated The Nimrods 13-10 in a Fantasy RBI League game played Monday night at Tengen Stadium.
Attarack (3-2) took advantage of two Nimrods (1-4) errors, including a bizarre play by third baseman Bill Doran in the third inning. Doran fielded a hard grounder, but then inexplicably threw the ball into the outfield instead of stepping on the base for an easy out. Two runs scored on the play. His teammate, catcher Rich Gedman, was not pleased after the game.
"If Doran wants to be an interior decorator now that's none of my business. But some of us still need this team," Gedman said. "Now you listen to me! This is my last shot at a winner and for some of the younger guys it could be their only shot. I don't know what happened to him. But if he ever, ever tanks another play like he did today, I'm gonna cut his nuts off and stuff them down his [expletive deleted] throat!"
Doran later said that he was distracting by the sight of his wife making out with Nimrods reliever Charlie Kerfeld in the bullpen. Mrs. Doran was unavailable for comment.

The Coprophiliacs Top Error-Prone Hip Young Popes, 12-8
DEE-NEE CITY - The Coprophiliacs took advantage of three Hip Young Popes errors en route to a 12-8 victory in a Fantasy RBI League game played Sunday night at Tengen Stadium.
"We had our chances, but in the end, we were too wired from all the Vault energy drinks to settle down and make plays," said Hip Young Popes' owner Gerlost after the game. "Damn you Vault for being so perfectly marketed to our team's target audience, yet so loaded with caffeine."
Vince Coleman had a breakout game for The Coprophiliacs (2-3), going 3 for 5 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored. Ken Dayley and Doug Corbett combined to give up no earned runs over the final 1 1/3 innings in relief.
Jeffrey Leonard drove in three runs to lead The Hip Young Popes' (2-3) offense.

I would like to drop Trammel from 1st to 4th and promote Mike Witt to the #1 SP job.
I'm assuming you want to move everyone up one spot, then?:
1. Burks
2. Canseco
3. Dw. Evans
4. Trammell
