Gantry has a list similar to this on his website.  The difference is hopefully what will compel you guys to vote - it is the opinion of the masses.

If it becomes obvious that this post is a failure, I will end it in shame and think of something more pathetic to post.

This is somewhat an extension of my last poll and will influence whether or not I do a poll for an RBI Hall of Fame.

The Ground Rules:

Voting should be based on how well you have done with a particular player.  Voters should have played with every player in each category - (I mean really, how long have you been playing this game)

In a Purist spirit, the All-Star teams are not included.

Voting will be done by positions.

The number of polls used to determine a winner is subject to change, and probably will change.

How is the Winner Determined?
If one player receives more than 15 votes and holds a plurality, voting will close and he will be declared the winner.

This message will be posted, along with any modifications, on each new post throughout this series of polls.

The winners will be posted on a separate post, as well as on this post.

Trammel was pretty much a slam-dunk for me here.  I should note, however, that I considered Ozzie Smith for about seven nanoseconds, as I was reading the list from bottom-to-top.

You're going down, chainsaw.

Gantry

You won't find a bigger Schofield fan than myself, but Trammell wins convincingly.  Speed, power, lefty - good night...

Ozzie Smith over Trammell?  Pshaw...

RockRaines4life

Alan Trammell is the only guy on this list who impacts games.  I take half these guys out for pinch hitters in their first AB anyway.
What a horrible night to have a curse.

Baines

No reason not to go with A Tram here.  This one was even more lopsided than 2B.

Baines may have hit a homer with Baines, yelled Baines and immediately changed into a Baines jersey.

You know who's the best? Baines...

This one was easy...

My Top 3 are as follows:

1)Alan Trammell
2)Dick Schofield
3)Ozzie Smith

Gantry

I'll take the Reynolds Wrap over Ozzie, but he's clutch for me...

Like it was already said.  Slam dunk on this one.  Alan Trammell, the most dangerous leadoff hitter and shortstop in RBI.  Only Rock Raines is better because he's a lefty and a little faster.  But he doesn't count because he's on the All-Star squad.

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?

TRrammel.  Alan and sweet lou make a nice combo on RBI's best team.

I think we might have a voting troll on our hands...
