The Raiders are a successful organization

They failed to mention NHL Hockey. That's in the top 5 for me.

I agree with the NHL Hockey call.  I'd also put NBA Live '95 on there and substitute Baseball Stars for Bases Loaded.  The list was pretty NES heavy, which I like, since that's what I played...and still play.  However, I'm sure that there are many non-NES games that should be on the list that I don't even know about

1) RBI Baseball (NES) - Simply the best. This game had real MLB players and teams, classic music and the most addicting gameplay ever. Nolan Ryan's 112-mph heater. The bunt home runs. Tony Armas' automatic pinch-hit homers. The fireworks. Playing long ball with the Sox and small ball with St. Louis. It is the pinnacle.

Not a bad summation.  I like the "pinnacle" line.  But I wasn't aware Nolan could throw 112.

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?

It's nice any time RBI gets some love.  Definitely my all time favorite sports game.

I liked the call on Coach K basketball.  That and any of the NBA Live series on Genesis have IMO the best gameplay of any basketball games before or since.

Also gotta love Tecmo Bowl and Tecmo Super Bowl.  Both of them are classics.  The RBI of football games.

For newer games, I love any of the NCAA Football series, my favorites probably being 2000 and 2004.

Baines may have hit a homer with Baines, yelled Baines and immediately changed into a Baines jersey.

You know who's the best? Baines...

I was impressed to see MVP 2003 on the list - it's by far the best simulation-style baseball game I've ever played.  I'm with you guys, too, in that Baseball Stars should rank ahead of Bases Loaded.  Bases Loaded 3 was a damn fine game, though, once you've had a couple weeks of practice to figure out the fielding.

Another game that got a lot of play from us was PGA Tour Golf 2 for Genesis.  We spent many nights playing drunken Skins Games.  I'd still put it right up there with the Tiger Woods series.
