Dee-Nee House Games - 6/29/2006

For the first time in possibly a year, I'm playing multiple games of RBI in a night.  I've had a few High Lifes and Potsie just challenged me to a best-of-three, drinking rule contest.  This should be most interesting, as I'm still reeling from my complete asswhooping by a guy who hasn't been in this country for nearly a year.  And when he was in the country, he was the worst of the group...

Coin flip for team coming up, Potsie is in big trouble.  I'm predicting that he drinks three beers in the first game...

Only 2.5 beers:

Gantry (Ca) - 23, 17 HRs
Potsie (Bo) - 9, 7 HRs

6 innings, I would not be denied.  Potsie mouned a mini-comeback in the bottom of the 6th with the bases loaded and Jim Rice up, who had at least 2 dingers already.  But he got into the double-play and that's all she wrote...

Bill Buckner was a homer away from the cycle, if only Potsie could have lasted a bit longer...

I'm ready for the qualifier on Monday:

Gantry (Ca) - 16, 15 HRs
Potsie (Dt) - 6, 6 HRs

8 innings, not my best game, but effective enough.  I am the World's Greatest Rob Wilfong player, with 4 dingers this game and 8-11 with 6 HRs so far in the series.  Potsie says he's up for another game but "no drinking rules" - I'll see what I can do with The Tigers...
