1SP, the bottom three

New York, STL and San Fran.  As I discussed on the other thread, the 40 endurance for BOTH starters is a killer for SF, doubly so since their top speed isn't high to begin with.  St. Louis' offense makes them a no-brainer at the bottom. 

I know New York has a lot of fans in curve, but I can't stand their offense.  I personally think Gooden is good but not "best of the best" so they drop down to the bottom.  That doesn't mean I'd win half the time in an equally-skilled Cali/NY matchup, but that's what I feel...

upon review of my 1SP bottom 4 teams, things were a bit different.

MIN got no love in my puhl but here they seem to be considered fairly solid.  NY is catching the brunt of disdain in attezz's puhl as they had a much stronger showing in mine.  well, more like a stronger showing in that they were consider a middle of the road team. 

again for the most part there is consistency in the puhls.

This just goes to show that teams like Cal and Min seem to fluctate in terms of thier fanbase's confidence in em.  Also AL and NY to a smaller extent.

When you say "1SP" does this mean for just one game (we can choose which starter to go with) OR for playing a series (when we will have to alternate starters)?

Here is how I would rank them in order:

High level, I ranked all the teams in pitching (based on a 3-game; no-reset ATG series).
I assumed that the teams best starting pitcher would get about 44% of the innings.  2nd  SP would get 22%.  Best reliever would get 22% and worst reliever, 12%.
Using my pitcher rankings from a previous thread, I weighted the rankings accordingly by team to come up with the best pitching teams.
They come out:

Then I averaged the rankings of the top 10 batters from each team using my rankings from my custom ranking algorithm.  I gave a high ranking to "Contact" since ATG, and a slightly above average ranking to "Speed", and a slight advantage to being a lefty.

Then I just weight averaged the Offensive and pitching rankings 65/35 to get my overall rankings.
Obviously there are flaws in the methodology since I am assuming an ordered R² of 100% in all the rankings.
