Just played a quick game with cafetero's Mexican Leagues 1979 ROM and I was impressed.  Good work sir...

The game is total smallball, low power and good pitching.  I think you purists will like old-school play, manufacturing runs and the like.  Two suggestions for caftero:

1)  Include the .txt file in your zip with all the players and their power/contact/etc numbers.  I believe there is an option to create on in nightwulfs editor.

2)  The Yucutan team's helmet/bat color is the same as the dirt.  Though it looks great, it's makes batting a bit difficult when you blend in...

That being said, it a well-polished and unique addition to the ROMs and has been added to the ROMs page...

this ROM was cool, your right on the small ball, I was referring to my guys with 12 and 10 HR's as my power guys. I actually won on a sac fly.

I reconized some last names in this game, I don't know if they were major leagers though, Gantry could you give some of the notable players in this game with their respective team, thanks.

Also I can never get enough ROMs, whenever one gets posted I always download it then immediatly try it out, just wanted to say thanks to all of you who put them out there for us.
What do you got there, the 4 volt? I did you a favor.

We'll have to let Cafetero do the notable names in the ROM, the only one I knew was Nando pitching for Yucatan...

I played some with this ROM today, it was great.  I would love to see the full names that go with this ROM.  Thanks for the good work, cafetero!

cafetero

Thanx for all who have tried the roms. I'll see what can I do for Yucatan, since the team has always used green and orange in their uniforms, maybe swithching to red....

Well, maybe by the end of the week I'll have a .txt file with the names of players, there are some MLB players and in some cases, I'll add special notes.

If you noticed, in the newspaper appear the nicknames of the teams in spanish. I'll include the translations in the .txt file.

The easiest thing to do would be to change the color of the dirt.

I have been playing the Mexican roms and I am really enjoying them. The pitching is better than the normal RBI pitchers by a little bit. I like the low power hitters. It makes for some low scoring, defensive games.

Hi, I'm uploading here an updated version of the Mexican 1979 roms.

The zip includes text files with ratings and full names, also some notes.

The roms themselves have minor corrections in the lineups, and the Yucatan color scheme has been altered.

Any comments are welcome.
