hello again, fellow RBI enthusiasts. you may remember me from the spring of 2002 - when i lived with bban, and played endless hours of RBI, the majority of which with the lowly cardinals and astros. anyway, i haven't posted since may or so of that year, and i thought i should give everyone we used to communicate with on this board an update of what bban and i have been up to.

first things first, i no longer have a working Nintendo system where i live, so i have been without a game of RBI for roughly one year now. it has been a struggle, for sure, but i am not giving up on life.

bban has moved to florida. he is no longer with k (his old girlfriend), but has himself another young lady. i speak to him every week, and our conversations generally swerve to include this fantastic game. just yesterday, we were reminiscing about this very forum, which prompted me to re-read our old threads. those were great times.

i lost my job soon after my last post on this forum, was unemployed for a while, and re-hired last fall. i am still trying to understand what just happened this last MLB postseason. i mean, the goddamned boston red sox won! i believe i'm still numb from it. before i could get over the ALCS, they had already swept the cardinals (who, by the way, are now far more potent than the RBI 1 version). it was all a blur.

it has been high comedy to re-read our old posts. i hope that in the future, i can again contribute to this board. first, however, i need to either repare my Nintendo system, or buy another. i cannot live much longer without RBI, all of the glitches therein, and the splendor of the "short fat men," as my mother likes to refer to the players.

great to be back. take care.

You should look into online play.  It's the exact same game as the NES version (if you want it to be; you can also play "altered" games) and you get the benefit of being able to play people all over the country!

Welcome back t!  Great recap on "life since dee-nee" - good to hear bban is alive an well.  Was hoping to meet him at the first tourney but I belive he had a death in the family and could not attend.   Great guy and I wish him the best, though tell him to get his ass back on here (smiley)...

If you want more info on online play, go here:

i'm sure bban will be posting here again soon. until then, you can take relief in the fact that he is still a frequent visitor to dee-nee.

the other day, we both decided that if we could have any one thing in the world, it would be a game of RBI. is that wrong? should we be committed?

go cardinals!

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?

the dude either has some high float or a mess between the cheeks.

why thank you. you deserve quite a bit, too, for involving MC5.
