Gantry

All of the games could have went either way, but you typically made less mistakes or threw better clutch pitches - which is why you won.   Too many strikeouts and my inability to nab you on rundowns really hurt me.  I was too rushed both at the plate and in the field...

You were just straight money with your California players, makes me very proud.   You play a mean Wilfong and I never feared Brian Downing so much in my life.  I was throwing all the junk pitches his way.  Thank god you didn't get a chance to draft Potatoes...

My best feat of the last game was that I nabbed Vince Coleman on a steal to second...

This is wierd.  According to this, you would think every "normal" speed pitch would be 10 MPH.  Also, this does not explain the 95 MPH pitch with no stamina left.  Very odd!

The Sticky Thread is updated with Standings and Home Runs through the end of Week 2.  Noah had the last pick in the Draft, and it did not slow him down a bit.  He is the only undefeated team thru 2 weeks of play.  I am in 4th place but the future looks grim.  I have to still play the #1 & #2 teams and I have a losing record against the #3 team.

Week 3 is nearly finished as well.  JoeDirt and Noah have to play their series (1st place vs 2nd place; clearly the game of the week).
Then Gantry and Baines need to finish game 3 of their series.

I'm going to have to vote to not replay the game.  As a victim of a chemically altered RBI playe I see it kinda like the current MLB steroid fiasco.  If Bonds hits a game winning homer today, then gets caught taking 'roids tomorrow, his homer still stands as does his teams' victory.

that's not from my rom, right?

Not sure who's it is.  Nobody downloaded either of the ROMs that are posted on the sticky thread.

I will check them both right now in the editor.

Not sure what happened here or where Gantry/Noah downloaded this ROM.  The ROMs son the sticky thread and the ROMs saved to the editor are fine.

It might have had something to do with when my ROM was renamed with your ROM's name that one day.

I just modified the Sticky thread with both of our ROMs on their again.  My future advice is to only use the ROMs on the sticky thread or to download them directly from Nightwulf's editor.

#48
I downloaded and edited the ROM JoeDirt made on this thread:

http://forums.dee-nee.com/index.php?topic=5498.msg89004#msg89004

At the time, it was only ROM available with Worrell on Noah G's team.  That is why we used it...   I checked the ROM and it does in fact have an 18 curve for Worrell, simply a typo.  These things happen, no harm no foul.  Though it should enhance the "JoeDirt is a cheater" mystique (smiley)

QuoteThis is wierd.  According to this, you would think every "normal" speed pitch would be 10 MPH.  Also, this does not explain the 95 MPH pitch with no stamina left.  Very odd!

I saw so few of those weird pitches, because Noah was working so heavily with the fastball and slowball.  He just didn't throw that many "normal" pitches.  When Worrell's stamina went past zero (before that you got the super slow pitches), it wrapped around to an FF (255) speed.  So those babies were probably well over 100 mph then, since the top speed is around 120...

I'll see if I can convince Nightwulf to add a "trade player" feature, that would help minimize error with small roster moves...

That would really be a great feature.

JoeDirt

I requested the same of Nightwulf.  He was quick to point out to me that you can use the "move" feature to move players btwn teams and not just within their own line ups...

Son of a bitch, that's great.  Never knew it worked that way...

Of course, reading the directions right on the page would've helped.  We have failed you, Nightwulf.

Switch button

The "switch" button allows you to easily switch the location of two players. First, click the "switch" button next to the player you wish to move. Next, click the "switch" button next to the player you wish to switch locations with. You can change teams with the team selector in the menu area before selecting the second player if the players you wish to switch are on different teams. To cancel a player switch, press the same "switch" button twice.
