How do you pronounce RBI Baseball?

I have noticed that we all tend to spell it out RBI here on the boards, when it really should be R.B.I. A bunch of lazy slackers is we.

Strangely, when we describe the game, we pronounce each letter individually. But, when referring to the stat, we say Ribby.
