I'm sure most of u guys witnessed the controversial game tuesday.  Maybe u guys feel differently but i think tony gwynn put it best, " running out of players was simply embarrassing."  I was upset enough watching the game on tv, but if i payed that much money to go and see a tie, i would have been really pissed.

i understand the running out of players because one of the goals of an all-star manager is to make sure that everyone on the team gets playing time, so i think that couldn't have been avoided.  what i thought should've happened was letting a couple of pitchers that already pitched come back in the game.  i know it breaks the rules and all, but the all-star game is just an exhibition game and what happened this year obviously didn't work.

They could have even brought in some position players to pitch, it used to be in the all star game a long time ago that they would keep the same players in till one team had got up by like 5 runs.  They said it was a privilege to be an all star and if u didnt play thats too bad.

They acted like the game was some kind of fucking pee-wee soccer game where every kid gets too play.  Whatever happened to the days when Ted Williams and Joe Dimaggio would play the whole damn game so their league would win?  This all just goes to show that no one cares about their league anymore, nor do they care about the fans.  Hell, most of these players have played in both leagues already, just because the money was there at the time.  "We have to look at the players' health."  Please.  I guess Padilla and Garcia (starters) just couldn't muster another pitch.  All-Star athletes my ass.

i agree with you dill,  since when has it been the goal to get every player in the game... back in the good ole days pitchers would throw three to four innings and there would be several pitchers who didnt get off the bench.  back then, the games meant something... now they resemble the nba all star game and the pro bowl... dumb ass bud says this wont ever happen again but once is bad enough... as if bud didnt have enough black eyes already.

I like that Burnzky starts all his posts with two blank lines for no apparent reason.

Dill comes with strong takes, someone find him and see if he's still hardcore.  I know it's been 13 years since he's been active, find him!
