I'm telling you guys...I have one that unfortunately doesn't get played much anymore (in great shape, too).  I'd let it go for what I have in it--a lil over a grand.  At the going rate of $2200, that's a steal.  I'm in Columbus, OH.

The whole "three buttons all in a row" was a stupid idea.  In my opinion, you should only have to move over the distance from one button to another with your thumb; anything more and it's easy to get lost.  The SNES was fine with its diamond arrangement, which the PS did a good job copying, although it screwed up the names by giving them symbols instead of letters, so I can never remember which is which.

Agreed.  I played on the Xbox yesterday for the first time.
You would think after 4 hours, I would learn the buttons.  Nope.  The games seem easy enough.....just too many damn buttons.

I've played XBox dozens of times.  But just like Chubbs, I have no grasp for the controller.  I guess that's what happens when you do nothing but play NES for 15 years.

If you guys ever see the sit down arcade up for sale please tell me, i'd easily drop 2 franklins for that one.  Unfortunatley I don't have 2 grand of disposable income for the stand up version.
I am thinking about selling a kidney though.

That's still a ton of fricking money, is dee-nee.com the reason the price has jumped?  I haven't seen any forum members taking credit for these purchases, but there has to be a reason why this game has doubled in price lately...

Yeah, I also wonder who is buying these games.  Do they play them or are they just buying to collect them?  Are they fans of RBI?  Are there just a lot of RBI fans willing to pay a lot of $$$.  I got my machine on Ebay for $402, about $50 more than I told myself I was willing to go.  I think we would know if these were dee-nee.com related purchases, I doubt that there are many lurkers.

I'm glad we got our stand up last summer in the 300's before the prices skyrocketed.  I just don't understand why they're so much more than the sit down which I think looks pretty cool.

I have many fond memories of playing that at the batting cages by my old house back in the day.  Good shit.  Who would have thought I'd still be playing.
