Here's my collection of RBI autographs on cards...I have others on baseballs.  Off of the top of my head, they are Mattingly, Canseco, Dawson, Sandberg.

Semi-funny story about the Sandberg autograph on the ball--Riley and I went to Cincy and stayed at the hotel that the Cubs stayed in when we were 12 or so.  I got a really fast, scribbled Sandberg on a ball early in the evening.  He came back while there were less people around, and signed a really nice one for Riley.  I was pissed that I didn't have a ball for him to sign neatly...but convinced Riley to play one RBI game when we got back--if I win, we swap Sandberg balls (yes, I said it).  If he wins, I give him $40.

I won.  Fun times.

I probably have some that are on Arcade RBI.  I know for sure that I have

George Foster on a BP ball from Great American Ballpark
Johnny Bench on a baseball and on a Topps card that I got in a pack

I may have some others, but can't think of it right now

I never really understood the excitement of autographs.  I could never see me going out of my way to have someone sign something for me

I guess I understand if it was a personal item that you had signed for display, but I dont understand people paying for autographs and stuff.

To me, it is no different than collecting baseball cards.

Why did I collect so many Eric Davis cards when I was a kid?

He was my favorite player.  Same with Fred McGriff, Rex Hudler, Chili Davis, Dave Parker, Gorman Thomas, etc

To get one of their cards in a pack was always exciting.  To get something signed by one of them is even better then.

Found the Danny Cox autographed copy of RBI over the weekend when cleaning out some stuff.  I never did make the shadowbox frame for it...

I just donated most of them to my school.  They're doing a silent auction to fundraise and those will be added to a basket of baseball memorabilia.
