Happened to pop an aderol today to help study some LSAT.  After finishing my work i logged on to get some Online RBI action.  That shit had me focused.  Japetus can attest.  Got me thinking too.

Just like in like in MLB, performance enhancing drugs are an issue in the world of RBI.  Personally, i feel like i play my best when im just a bit buzzed off a couple beers.  In college i remember guys taking about having the 'high' (off pot) advantage when playing games like mariokart.  Other guys needed to rip butts like frank zappa before any head to head game.  so here's the question:

What substance/natcotic/whatever gets you primed to play your best game of RBI?

Gantry

Not being a drug user myself, I am torn between a few beers and nothing at all.  Of course I love playing RBI while drinking, but I'm not 100% sure it helps my game.  Though I'm pretty sure I play best in games 2-3 which would indicate that beer does slightly help.  So I'm going for the beer..

In my youth--shrooms and RBI. Good Times

Great poll.  Beer is definitely my mind-enhancer of choice.  Like Gantry mentioned, it starts to work against you after a few games.  By the 4th or 5th game, Chubbs and I are missing routine grounders and I've chucked my poor controller at least 6 times.

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?

the dude either has some high float or a mess between the cheeks.

Baines

Agreed.  I love drinking and playing RBI but there's a fine line where it starts being counterproductive.  Not that you should by any means stop drinking at that point but the quality of your RBI play will definitely suffer.

Baines may have hit a homer with Baines, yelled Baines and immediately changed into a Baines jersey.

You know who's the best? Baines...

I enjoy all sorts of drugs, be they medical or recreational.

Like the signature, beer and anything is great until you get past that certain point.  I'd always rather play with a beer, even if it's just one...

I find that it's hard to pay attention to anything once I have a beer.  That goes for RBI, long division, and maintaining an erection.  So, I guess I amend my answer to say "Purity"

I'm kinda the opposite with regards to beer and RBI.  While my quality of play certainly diminishes after too many, all I am focused on it playing RBI and beating my opponent.  When playing the casual afternoon game, I don't care as much about winning or losing...
