I'm curious to see who's brave enough to display their age.  The generations between players just blows my mind.  I was just over 4 years old when RBI came out.  Didn't start playing 'til I was 8 (1991).  The youngest skilled player I know is Jim Callan, currently at 17.5 years of age.

Exactly what I'm talking about (not referring to the balls comment...).  That's a 12.5 year difference... WoW!

I was almost 6 when I got the game for Christmas in '88 and I've been playing ever since. And I'm proud to say that ever since that day anyone who picked NY got a controller thrown at their head. Just ask my brother, the corners hurt.

my brother introduced me to the game a couple years ago (probably late 90's).  i didnt think much of it, i just thought it was "another nes game" at the time.  kinda wierd.

I have no idea when we got it.  All I know is that I love it.  Plain and simple.  I'm 24 and I have really big, hairy balls.  It's a veritable forest down there.

I'm 22... all my friends who play RBI are in the 21-22 range.  We have played it since we were 7 or 8 but haven't become obsessed with it until college.
What a horrible night to have a curse.

Can we get a warning somewhere whenever Potsie posts on a thread?  Now I'm going to have nightmares for a week.

I'm 24, by the way, and I first played RBI in about '88, when my friend Mike got it.

Well, shit, then.  I'm the old man of the bunch?  I guess that just means that I have the most non-child experience with the game of RBI.  See how us old folks try to put a positive spin on things?

I do very vividly recall mriley33 and I playing RBI all weekend and on many a week night.  It got so bad that his dad would always think that we were out drinking and just saying that we were playing a nintendo game.  Apparently his daddy didn't want to acknowledge how lame we were.

Most of the Dee-Nee crew is in the 26 range.   Like RockRaines, we really didn't get obsessive until we starting playing the drinking game in college....

I was 10 when the game came out, and I remember playing it in Jason's (Vitb6) basement probably around 89 or 90.   Even back then I remember liking the Angels, while Jason was the Red Sox...

Christ Jason, we've been friends 15 years...

I wasn't really friends with Lips and Potsie until a few years later, and don't ever remember playing with them until college....

24/25 seems to be the median for these forums...

25.  My playing days stem back to FKNMclane's parents house when we were maybe 8 or so.  Longevity baby, longevity.

25... Got RBI when it came out when I was in elementary school and even then it was my favorite all time NES game.  I got away from it for a while when more advanced systems came out but have been playing pretty hardcore since we got the old NES out about this time last year and found this site soon after.  As a result, the Xboxes started collecting dust and Halo and NCAA Football have pretty much been neglected.

We play with a pretty big group of people, ages ranging from 18-26.  Through younger relatives and friends, we've managed to turn a new generation on to RBI who had never seen it until this year.  Right now, it's possibly the most popular game at our old high school.

Baines may have hit a homer with Baines, yelled Baines and immediately changed into a Baines jersey.

You know who's the best? Baines...

I'm 24...
My parents got me the NES with the PowerPad one year for Christmas(probably '89 or so).  Along with it they got me some fucking obstacle course game for it--you had to fucking run and shit.  I think it was their way around sending me to fat camp.  Needless to say, I waited a couple days to tell them that it didn't work (it worked just fine), and immediately returned it for RBI.  I'm pretty sure that ranks up there with the Lou Brock trade.

Don't remember when I got RBI, I do remember playing the arcade version on vacation in Florida before I ever got NES version.

I know.  It's fucking sick.  We are old!  But not as old as Zorba.  I remember playing in my basement on that shitty front projection TV.  lol.  It was state of the art back then.  You could see the Red Green and Blue(perhaps Yellow) lights being projected on the screen.  Those were the good old days man.

I remember that TV!  We used to think it was awesome...
