Fucking badass.  Well done, fighton.

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?

Quote from: Kane on 08/22/16, 11:56:48 AM
the dude either has some high float or a mess between the cheeks.

Well, we should thank Rich Gedman and Dave Smith. I think that the Worcester Tornadoes should be the official minor league team of Dee-Nee, and I fully expect you guys in the Northeast to support them and go see some games this season.

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

Stock

Wow, that is really cool.
Nicely done!

Maybe I can rip-off some of your questions and get Nolan to answer them.

My company's local council has a luxury box at Dell Diamond (where the Nolan owned Roundrock Express play) that is 3 boxes away from Nolan and Sons'.  I am sure I could get him to answer some questions if all were interested.

Just as importantly, Harry Spilman and Spike Owen are coaches for the Round Rock Express. Feel free to recycle any of my questions if you have a way to get them answered by Ryan/Spilman/Owen.

This is awesome stuff and I will deifnitely have to get them on the site!  Fighton, do you have any html and/or linux experience?

Tony Armas was fast in real life, that certainly sucks to have the "slowest player ever" legacy in RBI...

I can work with HTML well enough to get by - I put together the Fantasy RBI Site as well as maintain the kickball league site. I have Macromedia Dreamweaver, so I can cheat quite a bit.

Got any questions I could ask Danny Cox, coach of the Gateway Grizzlies?

Nacho

I hear Donny Moore doesn't move around much these days, so he is probably pretty easy to pin down for an interview.

Gantry

Yeah, but interviewing Moore is a more painful experience than Drew Rosenhaus, the guy just doesn't dish out any dirt...

Sounds good.  I am going to send an email to Kirk Dressendorfer sp? today.  Remember him?  Anyway, I think he is the PR contact for the express.

Do you have any good questions tailored to Ryan/Spilman/Owen (kind of like you had a taylored question for Gedman when you asked him who would win in a race).  I would like to ask one player specific question to each.

stock, ask spilman who he should have replaced on the starting lineup if it was his choice.

ask owen where he would rank being a select player in the best video game of all time compared to winning a world series.

Those are great!  The Owen question might be a little harsh, but I am sure he has heard worse.

Gantry

Maybe you can ask owen about Ray Quinones or whoever it was that he started over, such as how their playing time against each other went.  They were close in numbers and he should be able to provide some insight for that one...

For Spilman - you should definitely ask him about the time he stole the only base of his career and Roger Craig pulled him for a pinch runner immediately after.  Some details on that story would be awesome!

GDavis

How far away is RBI Baseball - the documentary?

TβG

the cheapseats brothers will be the best bet at producing some some sort of dee-nee/rbi documentary.  i think fighton should pursue that next.

Gantry

I think we can get Ken Burns to take care of Dee-Nee the Documentary, it'll be a 10 DVD set...

fightonusc

I should point out that next week's Cheap Seats features the Sklars going to Busch Stadium (they're from St. Louis) for the last game. The preview showed them hanging out with hJose Oquendo.

As for Spike Owen, definitely ask him the Clemens/Julio question since he was teammates with the Rocket in college and the bigs. Also, he finished second in the league in Intentional Walks one year - how did THAT happen?

His lips are so tight you'd think they were sewn together.

I think Spillman should be asked if he knew the programmers since they made he so good.

This episode was on a couple weeks ago, they were trying to save Busch Stadium.  Being from St. Louis, it was great.  I'm not sure if others will appreciate it though.
