OK, I'll probably won't simulate any of the games until Monday, but get any roster or line-up changes you want to make to me ASAP (or, let me know if your roster is fine the way it is).

The Fantasy RBI site has been updated with the new standings. This also includes a link to the Week 2 games:

Gantry Division
The Creamy Pirates @ The OC
The Nimrods @ Baines

Doverbi Division

The Fighting Tony Danzas @ The Unholy Legions of Doom
The Poopydicks @ The Hip Young Popes

Interdivisional Game
The Frank Tanana All-Stars @ The South Arkansas Penis

usc...can you put in Clemens to start for me instead of Saberhagen.  If I'm up against the Penis, I need to have my best pitcher in there early so I don't get mercied early.

i can't get the game video file to work, i think i just dragged and dropped the opened zip file into virtua nes.  is anyone else having problems?

Are you unzipping the folder before opening the movie? The .vmv is inside the zipped file, and you have to open that, and then save the .vmv file somewhere on your computer. The same goes for the Week 2 ROM - unzip it and then open it.

It shouldn't be a drag-and-drop thing:

- Open VirtuaNes
- Open the Week 2 ROM (File<Open)
- Open the Game Movie (Edit<Movie<Replay)

Recap:

It would have been easy to predict a blowout in the Fantasy RBI League game between The OC and The Creamy Pirates on Monday afternoon at Tengen Field. After all, The OC are the defending World Series champions, while The Creamy Pirates were coming off of an embarrasing two-inning defeat in their opening game. However, The Creamy Pirates proved why games are simulated on the field, as they used a 10-run third inning to propel themselves to a shocking 20-7 victory in a game called after seven innings because of the mercy rule.

The Creamy Pirates (1-1) were up 2-0 before their 10-run explosion off of Cy Young winner Doc Gooden (0-1). Gooden loaded the bases to start the inning with three singles and a walk, and Kirby Puckett made him pay by slugging a grand slam into the left field bleachers. Kevin Mitchell also homered and drove in four runs, while Mark McGwire added a home run and three RBI.

Bobby Ojeda (1-1) rebounded from a terrible first start to earn the victory, going all seven innings while giving up six earned runs. Andre Dawson was the lone bright spot for The OC (1-1), hitting a home run and driving in three.

the errors really cost us big time.  i think we're going to have to let our infield coach go.  we somehow hired the coach affiliated with the 1987 detroit tigers.

Will the Creamy Pirates ever finish a nine inning game and will anyone besides Ojeda get to pitch?

Recap:

With The Unholy Legion of Doom's powerful line-up, it's not surprising that someone would hit three home runs in one game. What was surprising on Tuesday was that it was Chet Lemon who did it. Lemon's six RBI combined with Will Clark's five RBI provided plenty of offense as their team defeated The Fighting Tony Danzas 22-12 at Tengen Stadium in a Fantasy RBI League game called after eight innings because of the mercy rule.

The Unholy Legions of Doom (1-1) pounded out an impressive 32 hits against a beleagured Fighting Tony Danzas (0-2) pitching staff. Despite going down big early, the Fighting Tony Danzas used a big seven-run fifth inning and eventually tied the game at 11-11 in the sixth inning. However, The Unholy Legions of Doom hitting did not stop.

Gene Larkin and Harry Spilman each drove in three for the Fighting Tony Danzas in the losing effort.

Recap:

THE Parish State University used four home runs as part of a six-run first inning to defeat The Nimrods 14-8 in a Fantasy RBI League game played Wednesday afternoon at Tengen Stadium.

Darryl Strawberry, Dale Murphy and Wally Joyner each went 4 for 5 to pace a balanced Parish State (2-0) offense, which saw every starter score at least one run. Mike Scott pitched a gutty 6 2/3 innings to pick up the victory. Strawberry drove in three runs, while Joyner hit three doubles and scored three times.

The Nimrods (0-2) closed to within four runs in the seventh inning after trailing by nine earlier in the game. They had several chances to break open a big inning but could not convert, most notably failing to score after loading the bases with no one out in the fifth. In all, The Nimrods stranded 13 base runners.

Cal Ripken homered and drove in three for The Nimrods in the defeat.

I would like to point out what a bag o' ass Laudner was for you today. 0 for 5, and eight runners stranded.

Its seems odd that he's batting fifth...I would think Ripken would be a better #5 guy, shove Coleman in the #1 spot and shift 5-7 down to 6-8.
