For those of us who use curve pitching, which pitchers do you think have the best juice (my friends and i refer to curveball abillity as "juice").  Two guys that come to mind immeadiately for me are sutton and krukow.  Any other favorites out there?  Also these pitchers with good juice also often have a deadlier Blooj pitch, or as you say "knuckleball".  We call it the Blooj because thats kinda what the pitch sounds like.

actually on further review my question is a little different than the earlier category.  while other pitchers such as nolan ryan are very effective in curve pitching games, they do not have great juice.  being an effective pitcher is a combination of speed, juice, and stanima.  my question is simply which pitchers can curve the ball the furthest.

id say that krukow and witt have the best action....and ive made this point on the other thing...so ill keep this one short

I'll add blooj to the alternate names for the knucklball in the FAQ...

Does everyone think Krukow has the most juice, including All-Stars?  What about closers?  Can one of them contend after eliminating stamina and speed?

i think mike witt has some movement on his pitches... both directions.  blyleven is good but you already know what i think of him.  even doyle has some good movement but has a tendency to give up a few gopher balls.

Damn you for saying that Nolan has no juice.  He is the best damn pitcher on the game, no doubt.  He has the juice, he has the best speed, he has the best stamina, and he is fucking old.  What is better than all those attributes?  Damnit, now I'm pissed off because no one is giving my boy his due.

No doubt nolan is one of the best pitchers, but as far as juice goes, he can barely throw it off the plate if he's throwing it from the far end of the rubber.  Blyleven's a good pick, so is doyle, even though i never use detroit.  the relief pitchers usually all have awful juice.  there may be some exceptions but none come to mind.  particularly bad ones are brnger and moore.  moore probably killed himself cuz he sucks in rbi.

dill, i think what mr. davis defines juice as movement for pithcers that dont throw hard.   that, of course, eliminates the likes of ryan, clemens,  and gooden.  i would have to argue that john tudor is nasty... unfortunately, he dosnt get used too much cause his team is poo.

I guess I can understand that, but I'm still not happy.  For this so-called juice, Krukow has movement, Witt is up there, Tudor is equally filthy, and I just like Kerfeld.

as far as the best pitcher bar none-  taking in all aspects of the game... i would go with blyleven, tudor, clemens, ryan, krukow, witt, and then o'doyle rules.

I don't know... and I am partial to the Twins... but I'd have to go with Tudor, the Doc, Blyleven, Viola, and Ryan....

Who is the fastest??  I'd have to say Vince "Coke lightning" coleman.

although only used in exhibition, fernando venezuala has the best juice in the game as far as i can tell....its so frustrating to hit because he can go from one side of the plate to the other....with decent speed.....thats why he's an allstar

freddy v has movement to both sides of the plate... most pitchers have better movement to one side or the other.

i think the two fastest guys in the game are coleman and raines...  i'd like to see them in a race.

i agree with the valenzuela comment, his ball moves from one box to the other
