Most Embarassing RBI Moment

I would have to say that i accomplished that today by losing to Corbet of Cali.  Not only did i lose to him, but he pitched a complete game on my ass.  I am a pretty experienced player and I played a better player and could not seem to break through.

ill give corbet some credit....he can pitch well for about 2-4 innings, depending on how many pitches he has to throw...but he shouldnt have the juice to go for a full 9 innings and still beat anyone...im sorry roodypoo

It was straight pitch, I was Detroit, Absolutely brutal offensive effort by me.

Though that is a very unimpressive feat, there are worse people to lose to than Corbet.  He is an above-average reliever in straight pitch, because he keeps the ball on the ground.  Also, keeping relievers in all game in straight pitch is sometimes effective.  When those pitchers start throwing 30, they become VERY hard to hit.  Sometimes you'll jack homers left & right, but other times you can't get a dinger for the life of you....

the problem is getting to that point... when they start tossing it up there in the mid 60s they are very vulnerable.  but once they reach the unhittalbe velocity... look out cause they are tough.

Very true, though sometimes you get that inexplicable "my pitcher dropped 15 mph since last inning/batter" going for you.  I'm not one to keep a pitcher in when he's slowing down, but sometimes it's in your best interest...

Potsie is probably the worst when it comes to slow pitchers.  Completely screws up his retreat...

ive noticed that if you execute it correctly, the retreat is very effective against the 27 mph pitch...   it helps me stay back on the ball.
