Hitting up in the box vs Back in the box

Any one use the Podsednik "walk up"?  I know some people retreat.

i sometimes walk up - typically a faster guy who i want to hit the ball on the ground with.

Any one use the Podsednik "walk up"?  I know some people retreat.

I usually start to the far left side for righthanded hitters (or the far right side for lefthanded hitters) and move towards the plate as the pitch approaches.

I cannot do the walk up, never can get the timing right.
