Summary
A Baylor 2-run double in the bottom of the 2nd topped off a 5-run inning, which made it 9-8.  That was as close as Glassjoe would get.  Marquis began to pull away, and when Hrbek hit a 3-run homer in the 5th to make it 15-9.  Back-to-back homers by Gaetti and Dawson in the 7th made it 21-11, and Gary Carter added an RBI single to make it 22-11.  Armas pinch-hit for Ojeda and drove in a run to make it 22-11.  Rice flied out to end it with a runners on first and third.  It was the Dawson & Carter show though.  Each hit 3 homers.

I am a force to be reckoned with apparently.  Sorry about the skunking, Dove.  Better luck next time.  Ha ha ha ha ha!

BeefMaster

I think it was, Glassjoe - we didn't have any last season that I recall.  I'm noticing lots of slaughters in the league this year (there were maybe 5 or 6 total last time), but it looks like a lot more parity as well.  Also, home teams are struggling, whereas in the first season, home teams went well over .500.  It'll be neat to see how this plays out.

This post is to bring this thread to the top - for your attention; it has been updated.

Sorry, fknmclane; SBs have been taken out.  There have only been 2 so far, but I will keep up with them in the "Records" part.

fknmclane

I have the lowest number of homers and the worst pitching thus far.  It's gonna be a long fantasy season.  Then again, this is RBI and anything can happen.

I had the lowest home run total last season, and still came in second in the regular season - it's not all about the home run; especially in SEASON II.

doveRBI

I would say there is a crap load of parity here so I think we are doing pretty well.  That said, my aliens are going on a tear.

Some Dumb Thoughts

1) Nobody has mentioned trades, but remember it's there.

2) We are nearing the halfway point... should there be an All-Star team?  3 reps from each team?  Voting - can't vote for self.  See post title.

3) Main purpose for this post is to bring it back to the top.

GDavis

Nice to see this idea taking off.  We should try to get 8 teams for season 3.

dvldog

I agree with the 10-team idea, IF we can get that many people.

This has been a GREAT idea, GDavis, and I think we'll see several seasons a year with various numbers of players.
