Here's one: the Rangers threatened to place Alfonso Soriano on the "Disqualified List" if he refused to play the outfield (meaning he would not receive any money from his contract). If that would have happened, he would have joined an exclusive group of players who had been placed on the Disqualified List during disputes with their team. This group includes two RBIers.

Who are the two RBIers who were on the Disqualified List during their careers?

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

I'll guess Straw and Doc

I think we're going to need hints, I had never heard of this list before Soriano, maybe hint as to the reason the were place on the list.

Gantry

Maybe Leonard and Hernandez for their cocaine incidents?

fightonusc

One is a pitcher and one is a bench player. They were both placed on the Disqualified List for refusing to play during a contract dispute.

Nope. The answer is Dickie Thon and Bert Blyleven. There was an article about it in the New York Times and another one on MLB.com - essentially, Blyleven was placed there in 1980 by the Pirates because he said he would retire if he wasn't traded, and Thon sat out to protest his contract in 1987.

Yep, Tim Raines was the #3 to the 3-parter.

Whoever said Bill Madlock is correct to my 1st question.

Charlie Hough was almost the first player to play in the 1960's and still play for Colorado or Florida.   He entered the majors in 1970.

I wonder who the first will be, smart money is on Minnie Minoso

I'm not sure if he's dead or not, but Minnie's last year in the bigs was 1980.  He was around 57 years old at the time.  If he came back today, he'd be a spring chicken at 83.

Luke Appling hit a home run in an old-timers game at age 75 in 1982.  I guess anything is possible.  RIP, Luke.

Minnie is alive, he tried to play with the Sox in 1990 but MLB told them no way.

Off of Warren Spahn no less, I'm not so sure you should be sad about a guy who died almost twenty years ago.

All guesses

Schmidt, Reggie, McGwire, Canseco, Straw

Gerlost

I'd say McGwire, Rice, Jackson, McGee, and Canseco.

Attezz

Rice, Ripken, Strawberry, Joyner and McGwire.

Metal King

Holy Christ TeddyBallgame, ya got 'em all!  Nah just kidding.

Rice (102) 1975
Joyner (100) 1986
Canseco (117) 1986
McGwire (118) 1987

Those four are correct, there's one more, but the previous year before getting the 100+ rbi's, he kinda played a little over half the season, but I guess he counts because it wasn't a full year.

HINT:  Think "American" League
