Briznock, RaStein, and I are getting together with some less competetive RBI'ers tonight to drink lots of beers/whiskey and get to some serious RBi competition..

results to follow, along with likely drunken postings/dialing.

If I had to guess...I'd say it's around a three hour drive bainesy...

BUT this all came about as we were drinking beers last night, and was officially named this morning, while I was hung-over and working.

I dont foresee this being any type of official tourney, but it IS a great chance to get in maybe 5 or six games apiece between 5 or six guys.  Some of whom know the game's ins and outs, some who know nothing.

Should be fun!!

Seymour.....Bout an hour north of Louisville, Hour South of Indy, right off of 65. 

Easy drive....I believe we are around 2 1/2 hours from King's Island...

Ahhhh...good times last night. 

We Managed to get six guys over all, and only one that was completely inexperienced.  Here's the breakdown. 

Of course, we play a completely random draw when choosing teams.  So we drew for first round opponents, and got on our way. 

Game 1, Briznock vs. Skunkape, (aka MooseKeg)

Moose immediately draws the red chip, which means Briznock gets to choose his team, and briz draws Dt.  Moose has been just on the outside of being a world class player, but last night he finds a way to defeat Briznock with Ho and hit three homers (one by Davy Lopes, the others I cant verify).  And the games begin with the upset of the night with briznock being turned away 4-5 by an inferior player, playing with an inferior team.

game 2, Goreds vs. Alan

Alan is completley new to RBI, and hasnt got the experience necessary to win games against the best quite yet. But I drew the red chip and he did get to give me Ho, and he drew Ca.  The Game was uneventful and I won 10-0 in 6 innings.

Game 3, RaStein vs. Andy

I dont recall much about this game, but I do recall RaStein had Ho also, and managed to squeeze out a 7-6 victory. 

First round Ho had 3 wins and I think 7 team home runs.

Round 2  Moosekeg vs. RaStein

I picked up the bye into the finals by scoring the most runs in the first round.  Somehow Ho was in this game for RaStein and Moose drew the Cards.  This really turned into quite a barnburner, with some clutch hitting and interesting strategy, the Astros pulled out another victory 3-5.

Final game Goreds vs. raStein

I was a little disappointed the I wasnt getting the chance to play Briznock in the finals, but RaStein is more than a good enough opponent.  I Drew Ca, and Stein drew the Blue chip so he got to choose whatever non all star team he wanted and picked Dt.  Stein started Jack Morris, and after a Descines knocked a fourth inning homer, I was up early and cruised the rest of the way for a 4-2 victory, which included MikeWitt getting 11 K's and Donny Moore shutting the door in the ninth with one man on.

All in all lots of fun was had as directly afterwards we went to the bar and got sloppy drunk.

Fuck a bunch of that shit.....

My buddy's fiance was there, so I couldn't play wearing nothing but a hat.  I was unprepared to play with clothes on. 


And I LET the skunk ape win anyway.  I needed to give him a false sense of hope leading into our decathlon this summer.  Which should end in a 9-1 beat down with me getting almost every point possible.

The one event that he will win is going to be boxing.  He is 6'4" 280ish and I am 6'  175.  Me punching him will be like a throwing a fucking grape at him and I really don't want to break my face or ribs or sternum fighting this turd.  I am taking a dive plain and simple, just like in RBI.
