Question on Death

Were getting ready for a big death match tomorrow, I got a question Gantry about Drink 7

says "HITTING a HR that goes through the wall or is clearly foul.

So who drinks 7 the person who hit the homer or the pitcher.

Thanks Joe, but I was asking Gantry, cause if you read exactly what it says, it is not very clear, obviously Joe you would think that the pitcher would drink but I wasn't quite sure from reading it.

Actually that is a good question.  Why should the pitcher be punished for giving up a ball that wasn't a true HR?  The batter doesn't deserve to get that homerun, so maybe he should be the guy getting "punished" by having to drink 7.

That question is worded poorly, I'll be sure to change it to say the pitcher drinks seven...

In our games, you have to drink for every hit & run you give up.  I agree that giving up the 7 drinker typically isn't the fault of the pitcher, but the defensive team is punished for all runs, just like regular baseball.  And we like to play the rarer the hit, the more drinks absorbed...

i think it should be a social... cause its just like a bop or any other glitch only having a slightly bigger effect on the game...  just as the homerun that hooks around the foul pole is called foul...  same impact, just the pitching team benefits here... the rbi programmers might have errored here but just like baseball, it all balances out.

I concur with the social.  Definitely not something just for the pitcher, so the batter should get some too.  Hell, after a few games for us, just about everything becomes a social anyway.

You guys are convincing me on the Wallzie social, I'll bring it up to the roomies.  I also think an inside-the-park homer deserves to be 10 drinks.  Time to have a meeting of the drinking rules committee...

i think the inside the park homer should be an entire beer...  if you give up a triple it should be ten...  there is no excuse for giving up an inside the park homer... well of course that is if you are sober...
