Baines may have hit a homer with Baines, yelled Baines and immediately changed into a Baines jersey.

You know who's the best? Baines...

AKA:  The Tate.

We used to call a buddy of mine Tate, because he would always start there and then do girls in the poop chute.  Messed up.

Also, Original Baseball for the NES is the fucking shizzlating shizzly shit.  I still play that one on occasion.

Worst NES sports game ever:  NFL. . . . .no players. . . . slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow game play. . .  . .complete asshole hair of a game.

NFL Football was fkn garbage

Nintendo Baseball was a great game. I always used the K team.  I bought an NES and Baseball with my first ever paycheck.

I believe the NES came out in late 1985, so he probably got one of the first sets...

[NESnerd] The first official public unveiling of the NES (called the Advanced Video System at the time) was at the CES in January 1985. It reappeared at the June CES as the NES, with the addition of the Zapper and ROB. The first appearance of the NES on retail sales floors was late 1985, in the NYC market only. About half of the 50,000 units available sold. The system became available in Los Angeles in February 1986, and shortly thereafter in Chicago and San Francisco. The NES was available nationally by the end of 1986. [/NESnerd]

i saved up my own money and bought it from toys r us for $99.95 dollars.  i used to charge my sisters 10 cents a game to play super mario brothers.  i figured i needed to recover some cash from my investment.

I remember not having a nintendo, and I remember getting Zelda and Mario 2 for Christmas, but I don't remember getting the NES.  The human brain is a complex and mysterious thing, especially when it's being destroyed one beer at a time.

I sold my Atari 2600 and all the games at a grage sale for about $30, then used that plus other savings to buy the NES for about $90, was after it was out for a while, I'd guess spring/summer of '88?
