I don't think we should start one, but this is noteworthy from my Cubs calendar

Rogers Hornsby got his start in baseball playing on a touring "bloomer girls" team disguised as a women.  (Note that an internet search has confilicting reports one or two sites have said there were often 1-2 men on each bloomer girls team, though many sites report that Rogers had to disguise himself as a women.)

From the internets:

"Two Hall of Fame baseball players, Rogers Hornsby and Smokey Joe Wood, who pitched for the Boston Red Sox in 1912, got their start dressed as women in the Bloomer league, Dr. Berlage said."

Smoky Joe goes into more length about that in the book "Glory of Their Times", I'll confirm it when I get home, but I believe that he said that around that time almost the entire bloomer girls team were men.

Sort of like the "House of David Teams" from the 30's.

Big Hath

I recently saw a Simpson's episode where Grampa Simpson and Jasper both played in a women's league (yes, Jasper still had his full beard)
Battle not with monsters lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.

Gantry

Whitey Ford was rendered unconscious during a Springfield Isotopes minor league game - he was barraged with pretzles....
