Saw a perfect game yesterday R. McCormick over Bandur, Nolan Ryan pitched all 9 innings and threw a 101 Mph fastbal in the 9th inning, as McCormick took the deciding game 1-0 winning the series 3-1.

Wow.

Wow is right.  That'sf ucking insane.

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?

the dude either has some high float or a mess between the cheeks.

TbT

I cant doubt a 9 inning afair with ryan, but how is this possible?   did bandur see on average less than 2 pitches from ryan per batter?  ultimate, did you see the whole game, or did you miss the early innings?

Ryans stamina is 50, but bandur woulda had to been hitting almost everything on the 1st or 2nd pitch he saw with every batter for this to be possible to still see heat like that in the 9th.

if it is, then that dude was really going after the batters all game long.

Bandur and Silverblatt are in the 4th place round.  Dirt is probably playing mccormick right now.

Riley is done.  The household names are dropping like flies.

Bandur was St. Louis, no reason to pitch around St. Louis.

In Bandur's defense, I'd rather face Ryan than Scott, and if you wear out Ryan you have to then face Scott for the rest of the game.

TbT

that is a good point about scott.  i guess bandur was up ther hacking away then.  pretty ballsy though cause he woulda had to go right after clark and lindeman obviously 3 time thru.

in that situation i'll usually go after Lindeman, but leave clark along and walk him each time.

I came in the 5th or 6th, Bandur was swinging at a lot of pitches, I think I saw a couple 5 pitch innings

The Raiders are a successful organization

TbT

well, that'll do it.  multiple 5 pitch innings will kill you.  One thing about Hou is that you really gotta be taking some against em.

Gantry

Are there any games left?  Just got up and am ready to head on over, what time are the finals?

TbT

Looks like Silverblatt beat Dirt in the championship round.  Dirt is still alive cause its double elimination all the way thru.

Best of 7 is what they are playing now.

Wow.

This is going to be the third series against those two, isn't it?

TbT

yes.  dirt had nothing but good things to say after the 1st series.

would be quite an accomplishment for him to win a cotut in his 1st try (i believe)

Did anyone end up coming to do a documentary?

Gantry

I just got back from the hotel.  Dirt was down 3-0 in the second series.  Since JoeD has lost every time I watched him, I left to hopefully give him a boost...

TbT

Crap.  Man i'll feel real shitty for Dirt if he finishes 2nd again.  One thing about Dirt though, He's placed every year hes been in a tourney which is remarkable . i believe this is his 3rd time.  2 cotuts and the ohio.

gantry, so dirt got swept in the 1st championship series 4-0?

Gantry

Nope, it went the full seven games with at least 3 extra innings games.  Last game went 13 innings IIRC, easily the best RBI series I ever watched...

TbT

talked to mr dirt.   he was down about losing.    he said he got screwed on a few games where bops were the deciding factor.  it got in his head, and that was that.

this year has been great for the tourney though.  beales, foster, and riley are all bumped early(before the money at least).  its no longer about the big 4.  this proved anyone is capable of making noise.  long live the underdogs!

RedBarron

Damnit, that sucks.  Joe is a super good guy and a stellar RBI player.

TbT

Joe places every year at these things.  none else can say they have accomplished that.

im sorry to see a championship eluded him once again, but hes as consistent as they come.
and with that said i dedicate these strapping young lad lyrics to joe dirt aka my hero

All Hail The New Flesh

Hey Man, I'm Going To Fuck This Shit Up
No Fear, No Compromise, I Want It All
I Will Never Be Afraid, And I'll Die With What I Believe

All Of You Assholes Can Stay Rotting Here
I Do No Care, I Will Not Be There
I Have Got To Save Myself
And Don't Tell Me There's No One Else

And All You Are Is All You Are...
I'm So Sorry (For You) I'm Sorry...

So All Hail The New Flesh,
Because It Suits Me Fine...

Just Get Away, You Motherfuck
And We'll Be Back If You Come
For What This Means To Me, You Piece Of Shit...
I'll See You Pigs In Hell
I Just Know Everything's Going To Be O.K.

JoeDirt

I'll tell you what, guys, I am fkn beat.  As in ass tired.  Just got in.  I'll talk about the tourney more tomorrow, but lemme just say a few things:

* Gantry is fkn bad luck.  I was down 3-0 in the second series; Gantry leaves.  I immediately win the next two games.

* I was surprised at the team selections as a whole.   It seemed to me that people very often chose Ca or Sf as their 1st/2nd picks.  Unreal.  I even saw a few Mn's and Ny's mixed in there.

* The elite group expanded.  I really think that it comes down to who's hot when with me, Riley, Foster, Beales, Silverblatt, Rory McCormick, and maybe even brother Greg McCormick.

* Gantry's mohawk looked awesome.

* In true Dirt fashion, I was called a cheater for doubling somebody up on an infield fly rule and for fouling off about 15 pitches with my pitcher.  But, in my defense, I told Rory if my P is his Ps last batter, then I'd stop...but he didn't answer, so I didn't stop.  Ultimately, Gooden (his P) tired out and was removed after my P's ab.  That game went into extra innings, so I feel the move was legit.

Too tired to go into much more...Bandur played very well considering his past performances and the fact that he was no hit AND the receptient of said perfect game over the weekend...
