Now that I'm back at work I've been able to hook up with my RBI buddy. We played our first two games today, with me losing both. We used the original rom & played with FCEU over our work's LAN. He picked the Mets, and I had STL. Curve pitching, anything goes (except only one starter per game).

Both games I had the lead, and I lost both to stupid mistakes (although the second game I was bothered by co-workers, people calling me, & my boss stopping by).

Tomorrow I fully expect to win both games to force a 5th game tie breaker (we usually play 3, 5, or 7 game series). I'm just posting here, because no one else in the world gives a rats ass. Also while writing this someone must be doing heavy construction in my neighborhood. It sounded like a bomb went off and I think I have pooped my pants (I live 4 blocks away from the WTC).

That link didnt work for me.  ???

In any case, grab a copy of FCEU (have the same version). Different versions won't work.

Just figure out your IP address & go to the Network page. One person is the server, one is the client. Real simple.

Gantry, can you throw my  70s rom up on your Rom page?

Link goes right to my FAQ, don't know why it isn't working...

I'll add the ROM after my Tetris play..

Mike:

I added the ROM and put a description/link on my ROMs page.  Thanks!

Playing the original rom. We had an unbelievable series.

Lost the first series STL to NYM 3 games to 2. My opponent suggests a knockout series. Loser of the 5 game series has to pick another team, and that team is lost.

STL is out, and I have to select another team. I take SF & promptly loose the first two games. I think Len Dykstra scored every time he got up, including a homer down the RF line. During lunch I tie up the series 2-2, to force a pivotal game 5.

It was a calm day at virtual Shea, Friday 5pm. SF squeaks out a run in the top of the 3rd, but NYM counters with a Carter solo blast in the bottom of the 4th. SF would score again in the top of the 5th, to have a 2-1 lead.

The lead would stand until the 9th. Garrelts would relieve Robinson with 2 outs, and give up a dinger to the ever dangerous Strawberry. With the game tied 2-2, it went into extra innings. It would be between Garrelts & McDowell, since Rueschel & Ojeda wouldn't be available due to their pitching the game before.

No team scored in extra innings despite numerous opportunities. New York had an excellent chance in the bottom of the 12th. With SF's owner on hand (aka the DIRECTOR of my department walking by asking me why I'm playing games at work), the Giants fumble an easy grounder with a runner on second, giving the Mets 1st & 3rd with one out. The Metropolitans hit a hard shot up the middle, which is turned into a double play. The game remained scoreless for 13 innings. With a runner on, Will Clark finally broke out of his series long slump & hit a monsterous shot into CF. Garrelts was able to hold the lead in the bottom of the 14th, giving SF one of the most memorable comebacks in Midtown series history.

New York's owner was gracious after the loss calling it "a great game."
