as stated earlier...  playing with the stros and any of the other bottom feeders is like dismantling a bomb...  your precision has to be exact otherwise you'll be blown to smithereens...  in the event that you come out on top...it is satisfying and is a good way to increase your power rankings.

agreed pines...thats a great way to look at it gwynn...

ive found that with the upper eichilon teams, i find myself going for the big hit all the time...and to alot of people, there is no difference, but there is a difference when i swing to just get a hit and when i try to hit a homerun....but with the lower teams, im a bit more patient and try to just put it in play....i think its fun, yet frustrating.....
A couple of jesters? In the court of the king! IS THAT WHAT YOU'RE TELLING ME?!?!?!?

Just wanted to commend the owners and patrons of this site on their dedication and love of RBI baseball.  Good work guys.  I am part of an RBI playing community at Cornell U in Ithaca NY.  We generally play about 5-6 games a day, curve pitch only.  Curve pitch is an art form that turns the game into a mental chess match between pitcher and batter.  Anyway, ill keep you informed on new updates from NY. Nice work and keep playing RBI religiously.

I wish i was able to set up some rbi games when i went to Ithaca (class of '99).  Maybe I'll visit my alma matter sometime just to get some rbi in, and show you undergrads how its done.

Ithaca is in the house, welcome Miker.  You know GDavis?

I'm impressed by the sheer number of games you college kids play nowadays.  When we were in school, there would only be 3-5 games on the friday/saturday drinking nights.  Sun-Thurs would probably end up with 5 total games.  That is until senior year where we picked up an acute case of alcoholism...

The dedication the younger generation is showing is quite promising...

No, I don't know those guys.  In retrospect i definately should've taken my old nintendo up to college, i'm sure i could've gotten my whole dorm hooked.  Hindsight is 20/20.

I feel the same thing, the dorms are the place to get people hooked on RBI.   At a dorm you can find a steady, changing set of opponents.  We didn't start our college RBI rush until we had an apartment.  At that point, only people who live there (or go there all the time) are going to experience RBI...
