3.  Faux Sox vs
2.  Generalisimos

GAME 1

Despite a couple of home runs, the Faux Sox offence didn't show up in Game 1.  The Generalisimos quickly put down the Faux Sox 13-3 in 3 innings.

Faux Sox:
Hendrk; 1/1, HR, 2 RBI
Teufel; 1/1, HR, RBI
Burks/Armas/Hndrsn/Puhl; Combined 0/6

Generalisimos:
Joyner; 3/3, 2HR, 3 RBI
Pndltn/Morris/Speier; 2/2, HR, each and 6 RBIs

GAME 2

The Faux Sox started off on the right foot in this game, putting up 16 runs in the first 2 innings.  However, after that the offense went cold.  The Generalisimos scored at least 4 runs in all 6 innings to win 21-31.

Faux Sox:
Brett; 3/5, 2HR, 2B, 6 RBI
Hndrsn; 4/5, HR, 3 RBI
Hendrk; 4/4, 2B, 3 RBI

Generalisimos:
K.Bass; 6/7, Cycle, 4 RBI
Canseco; 3/6, 2HR, 7 RBI
Schfld; 4/6, 2HR, 6 RBI

Series MVP:  Pendltn; 7/8, 2HR, 2B, 3 RBI
Joyner, Schfld, Canseco, & Morris also had 2 home runs each in the series.

The wild card in the series was Speier.  3 Home Runs, .625 avg and 6 RBIs from the 9-hole is outstanding in a low scoring series like this.

The next series will be (1-2) Slim vs (1-2) Poopybutts.  Despite each team batting over .600 in the tournament, one will go home after this series.  Slim will have home field advantage and they won the season series 3-1.

1.  Slim  vs
5.  Poopybutts

GAME 1

Slim comes out in game 1 and puts up 8 home runs and 25 runs through seven innings.  That doesn't seem like much, but the Poopybutts' offense was anemic.  It didn't help that Hrbek, McGee, and Pettis went a combined 1/12 in game 1.
Anyway, Slim runs away with an easy game 1 victory of 25-14 in 7 innings.

Slim:
Murphy; 5/6, HR, 2B, 3 RBI
DCincs; 5/6, 2HR, 2B, 7 RBI
Pucket; 5/5, 2HR, 2B, 6 RBI

Poopybutts:
Tramml; 4/5, HR, RBI
Jacksn; 3/4, 2HR, 2B, 5 RBI
Garner; 3/4, 2B, 2 RBI

GAME 2

Poopybutts come back pissed off in Game 2 and only need 2 innings to put away Slim 14-1.

Slim:
Baylor; 1/1, 2B
Boggs; 1/1, 1B, RBI
Murphy/Heep; Combined 0/2, 2 DPs

Poopybutts:
Tramml; 3/3, 2 2B, 2 RBI
Pettis; 2/2, 2B, RBI
Jacksn; 2/3, HR, 3 RBI

GAME 3

This was a fairly low scoring game.  Slim lead by 1-3 after each of the first 8 innings.  However, Poopybutts saved it all for the top of the ninth putting up 14 runs and going ontop 34-24.  Slim had one last chance to come back in the bottom of the ninth, but put up a huge doughnut.

Slim:
Baylor; 6/7, 3HR, 2B, 5 RBI
Boggs; 5/6, 2HR, 5 RBI
DCincs; 5/6, 2HR, 4 RBI

Poopybutts:
Tramml; 7/8, 3HR, 2B, 5 RBI
Jacksn; 4/8, 2HR, 8 RBI
Hrbek; 6/8, 3HR, 5 RBI

The team that was nearly unbeatable during the regular season takes last place in the tournament with 2 straight series losses and a 2-4 tournament record.
The Poopybutts will play the faux sox next in an elimination series.

Series MVP:  Tramml; 14/16, 4HR, 3 2B, 8 RBI
Although Jackson only batted .600, he was an RBI machine, driving in 15 runs.

The goat:  Heep; 4/13, only 1 RBI.
Mldndo also choked big time batting sub .400 and only 1 HR in 13 ABs.
Don't Blame:  DCincs; 10/13, 4HRs in the series loss.

The next series in the tournament will be Skullfuckers (1-2) vs the Wristslitters (0-2).  The series loser will go home, and the winner will play the Jews.

6.  Skullfuckers  vs
7.  Wristslitters

GAME 1

The Wristslitters scored a consistent 4-6 runs per inning in this game.  The Skullfucks were never really able to get things going and finally fell 26-16 in 5 innings.

Skullfukcers:
Bell; 3/4, HR, 2B, RBI
Wilfng; 3/4, HR, 2B, RBI
Grich; 4/4, 4 singles, 2 RBI

Wristslitters:
Brnsky; 5/5, 3 2B, 2 RBI
JClark; 3/5, GS, 2B, 5 RBI
Madlck; 4/5, 4 2B, 5 RBI

GAME 2:

This was an absolutely pathetic game.  0 runs were scored by either team in the 2-4th innings.  The offense started to pick up a bit in the later innings as the skullfucks hit 8/9 home runs in the last 3 innings and the wristslitters hit all 7 of their home runs in the last 3 innings.  The wristslitters pull off the series victory with a 28-21 win in game 2.

Skullfuckers:
DwEvns; 5/6, 3HR, 5 RBI
Yngbld; 5/6, 3HR, 5 RBI
Franco; 5/6, HR, 2 2B, RBI

Wristslitters:
Brnsky; 7/8, 2HR, 6 RBI
JClark; 5/7, HR, 5 RBI
Burlsn; 5/7, 4 2B, 4 RBI

Season MVP:  Brnsky; 12/13, 2HR, 3 2B, 8 RBI
The Goat:  EDavis; 5/11, 0 extra base hits, and only 3 RBIs.
Not one person on the Skullfucks batted over .700 in the series.

The Skullfuckers are now eliminated and take 2nd-to-last place in the tourney.  The Wristslitters will move on to play the Jews in an elimination series, which will be the next series played.  The Wristslitters and Jews split the season series.  Jew will have home field.

7.  Wristslitters vs
4.  Jew

GAME 1

Jew only needed 3 innings to knock off the Wristslitters in game one.  Knight ended it with a walk-off HR in the bottom of the 3rd.  Final score was 7-18.

Wristslitters:
Johnson; 2/3, HR, RBI
Brnsky; 2/2, HR, 2B, RBI
JClark; 1/2, HR, 3 RBI

Jew:
Gibson; 3/3, 2HR, 5 RBI
Boone; 3/3, HR, 3 RBI
Dwning; 3/3, HR, 2 RBI
Knight; 3/3, GS, 2B, 5 RBI

GAME 2

Wristlitters came back hard in game two going ahead 7-0 after the first inning.  Wristlitters had a chance to put the game away in the top of the 2nd, but put up a huge doughnut.  This was a mistake since Jew went sick crazy in the bottom of the second.  Knight hit another Grand Slam (second straight ab if you go back to the last game).  Raines also hit a grandslam in the 2nd inning the second time through the lineup.  Jews were unstopable as they ended the game in the bottom of the 2nd, putting up 18 runs.  Final score; 7-18.

Wristslitters:
Johnson; 1/2, HR, 2 RBI
Madlck; 1/2, HR, 3 RBI
DaEvns; 2/2, 2 singles, 2 RBI

Jew:
Gibson; 3/3, 2HR, 3B, 3 RBI
Raines; 2/3, GS, 4 RBI
Knight; 1/2, GS, 4 RBI

Series MVP:  Knight; 4/5, 2 GS, 9 RBI
Gibson also had a great game; 6/6, 4HR, 3B, 8 RBI
2/3 of the Jew lineup batted at least .800 in the series.

The Goat: JCruz; 1/4, 0 RBI in the series loss.
Don't blame: Brnsky/DaEvns; combined 8/8, HR, 2 2B, 4 RBI

Wristslitters are out.  They will take 6th place in the tournament.
Jews advance and will take on the winner of the Poopybutts/Faux Sox series, which will be played next.  Things don't look good for the Poopybutts.  The Faux Sox swept the 4-game season series and will get home field advantage.

3.  Faux Sox
5.  Poopybutts

GAME 1

The Poopybutts were too much for the Faux Sox to handle in game one (putting up 24 runs in the last 2 innings), and winning 35-14 in 4 innings.

Faux Sox:
Brett; 3/4, HR, 2B, RBI
Dykstr; 2/4, 2 3B, 2 RBI
Teufel; 2/3, 2HR, 3 RBI

Poopybutts:
Tramml; 4/6, 2HR, 2B, 7 RBI
Jackson; 5/6, 2HR, 3B, 6 RBI
Sntago; 5/5, HR, 5 RBI

GAME 2

Poopybutts came out batting thru the line-up in the top of the first putting up 6 runs, however the Faux Sox responded putting up 9 in the bottom of the first.
However, this will be the last 9 runs the Faux Sox will score in the Tourney.  The Poopybutts put up 7 more runs in the 2nd inning and 8 more in the 3rd.
Poopybutts win 21-9 in 3 innings.

Faux Sox:
Brett; 2/3, HR, RBI
Burks; 1/1, HR, 2 RBI
Armas; 2/2, HR, RBI

Poopybutts:
CDavis; 3/4, HR, 3B, 4 RBI
Jackson; 3/3, HR, 2B, 3 RBI
McGee; 3/3, 3HR (GS), 7 RBI

Series MVP:  Jackson; 8/9, 3HR, 2B, 3B, 9 RBI
Hrbek/Santiago had a great series as well; combined 15/17, 4HR, 2 2B, 10 RBI
The Goat: Lemon/Pulh/Hendrk; only 1 RBI each in the series loss.

The Faux Sox will take 5th place in the tourney.  We are now down to 4 teams left.
The next series, the Generalisimos will take on the (cinderella team) One-Nut-Kruks.  The winner of this series will advance to the Championship Series Bracket.  Can the 8th seed One-Nut Kruks knock off the #1 and #2 seed?

BTW, Gibson is going yard in 44.4% of his ABs in the tourney (in 27 ABs).

2.  Generalisimos vs
8.  One-Nut Kruks

GAME 1

The One-Nuts started strong (batting around in the first inning), and Rynlds even added a Grand Slam later in the game.
However, they were only able to put up 28 runs in 8 innings.  The Generalisimos take game 1 by a score of 28-38 in 8 innings.

Generalisimos:
Cansco; 8/8, 4HR, 2 2B, 9 RBI
Mtngly; 6/8, 2HR, 3 2B, 7 RBI
J.Rice; 6/7, HR, 4 RBI

One-Nut Kruks:
Dawson; 5/6, 3HR, 2 2B, 5 RBI
GDavis; 6/6, 2HR, 2B, 4 RBI
Brookn; 4/6, 2HR, 2 RBI

GAME 2

The 2 teams combined for 17 runs/inning in this slugfest.  Dawson was incredible in this game and Rynlds hit another Grand Slam for the One-Nuts.
Mattingly added a Grand Slam of his own and added 11 RBIs along with Cansco for the Generalisimos.  At the end of the day, this slugfest only lasted
6 innings, and the One-Nuts ended up on top with a score of 56-46.  Cansco had a 15 AB hitting streak going, only to have it ended with the last out of the game.

Generalisimos:
Mtngly; 7/7, 2HR, (GS), 2B, 11 RBI
Cansco; 7/8, 4HR, 2B, 11 RBI
Joyner; 7/8, 2HR, 3 2B, 5 RBI

One-Nut Kruks:
Brookn; 9/9, 3HR, 2B, 5 RBI
Dawson; 7/9, 4HR (GS), 12 RBI
GDavis; 8/9, 4HR, 2B, 6 RBI
Whitkr; 7/8 2HR, 2 2B, 7 RBI

GAME 3

The 8th seed One-Nuts stay hot.  They hit a Grand Slam in their 3rd straight game (Whitkr), and added 13 additional home runs to defeat the Generalisimos 41-37.

Generalisimos:
Mtngly; 8/8, 3HR, 2 2B, 9 RBI
Joyner; 7/8, 3HR, Cycle, 6 RBI
Schfld; 4/7, 3HR, 7 RBI

One-Nut Kruks:
Dawson; 8/9, 4HR, 2 2B, 8 RBI
Whitkr; 6/9, 3HR, 10 RBI
Brenly; 8/9, 2HR, 3 RBI

Series MVP:  Dawson; 20/24, 11HR, 4 2B, 25 RBI
Brookn/GDavis also had a great series combining for 39/47, 14HR, 6 2B, and 28 RBI
The Goat:  K.Bass; 12/24, 1HR.  In this league, your leadoff man has to bat better than that over a 3 game series.
Everyone on the Generalisimos batted .500+, had at least 1 home run and 4 RBIs in the series.  Plain and simple, they just got out hit by the One-Nutters.

The One-Nut Kruks advance to the Finals bracket.  Whoever they end up meeting there, will have to beat them in 2 straight best-of-3 series to win it all.
The Generalisimos will be back to play the winner of the Jew/Poopybutts series.

5. Poopybutts vs
4.  Jew

GAME 1

In this slugfest both teams scored in all 9 innings.  Carter, Boone, and Santgo all hit grandslams, and there were 33 other home runs hit in the game.  As is always the case in the Poopybutt/Jew match-up (they have played in 8 games including this one), Tramml plays like shit.  He is always consumed by the pressure of trying to establish himself as the best leadoff man against Raines.  Trammel goes only 3/10 and to top things off he ruins a huge 9th inning by making the final out with the bases loaded.  With already 11 runs scored in the 9th, who knows how many more they would have gotten if Tramml could have at least gotten a hit (CDavis, Jackson, & Hrbek would have been next).
Jews only have to score 5 in the bottom of the ninth to take game one, 46-48.

Poppybutts:
Jackson; 6/9, 3HR, 7 RBI
Garner; 7/8, HR, 2 2B, 7 RBI
Pettis; 8/9, 2HR, 2B, 7 RBI

Jew:
Raines; 8/9, 2 Cycles, 4 RBI
Gibson; 6/9, 3HR, 2B, 8 RBI
Boone; 6/9, 4HR (GS), 9 RBI
Kruk; 9/9, 3HR, 6 RBI

GAME 2

The Jew offense goes cold (Raines/Gibson/Dwning/Knight go 0/7 w/ 0 RBI), and the Poopybutts only need 3 innings to take game two, 18-7.

Poopybutts:
CDavis; 4/4, 2HR, 5 RBI
Lindmn; 3/3, 2B, RBI
McGee; 3/3, 3B, 2B, 3 RBI

GAME 3

Both offenses were cold in the first half of this game.  It was tied 8-8 after 5 innings as both teams put up 4-spots in the 1st and 5th innings.  Then the offense started to pick up but the Poopybutts offense got hot faster than the Jews.  The Poopybutts take game  3 and the series with a 35-20 win in 8 innings.

Poopybutts:
Trammel finally breaks out of his shell; 6/8, 2HR, 3 2B, 7 RBI
Jackson; 6/8, 3HR, 2B, 5 RBI
Garner; 7/7, HR, 2 2B, 7 RBI

Series MVP:  Garner; 16/18, 2HR, 5 2B, 17 RBI
Despite a low batting average (for him; .667) Jackson leads the team w/ 7 HRs in the series.
Wildcard:  Pettis; 14/18, 2 cycles, 8 RBI in the series---pretty good production from the 9-hitter.
The goat(s):  Gibson/Dwning did ok, but probably did not do as good as expected of them; combined for a .500 avg with 8HR & 17 RBI.
Don't Blame:  Boone who led the team with 6HRs and 17 RBI in the series loss.

Jew will go home and take 4th place in the tourney.
The 5th seed Poopybutts will take on the 2 seed Generalisimos next.  The winner will meet the One-Nut Kruks in the Finals bracket.
