Ryan D... he's way out in British Columbia... roughly 3000 miles away...  that would explain me not knowing the guy...

Does anyone play online games anymore?  or am I getting overanxious for nothing...?
there are good games and not so good games... but never a bad game!

not too much action in the online RBI world.  check the members list and send a PM to poolstroke

I've tried to read a bit of the past threads... but since this is probably gonna take me 2 mths, mind as well ask...   How about we start a league ourselves?... i know its been tried before, but I'd be more then happy to be part of that!

my online connection is near T1 speed, very stable... I should be good to go.

lets see where this leads too....  ::)

I figured you'd know Ryan since you lived with Gagne on the national team and Ryan Dempster also lived with Gagne while they played for the national team.

Sadly, it's not the speed of your connection that's the problem - the problem is that NES games require a lot of work for the server, and it's the server that gets overwhelmed.

Now that I think of it, there may be an online league going on, run by MrOrangeJuice, who rarely shows up here anymore.  I'll see if I can dig up the thread.  He uses a different emulator and online setup than has been previously used, and I think he's had better luck.

I lived with him when we were 18-20 yrs old... Demster joined the Marlins in 98... Sounds weird, but I dont know him.

By the way, Terry Puhl is Canadian for those of you who think he sucks... HE DOES!

Anyone for a game in about 2hours?... I'm going home soon

.... I have 3 computers at home... I might be good to host some of the games?...  Someone would have to tell me what to do exactly... I have limited knowledge on networking and IP shit...

have you ever watched 3 pronos at once?

Chab

the trick is to do 3 powerpoints and be surrounded by 3 monitors... when the wife finds out, she can be pissed off for sure, but she has to admit that I'm creative!

I got his number, but I cannot call him. I heard he is trying to re-establish the Black Panther Party in Oakland.

tonight is the first night of league play.  we have 8 people for sure and about 5 or 6 people who say they will probably make it.  yesterday i bought a generic top loader console for $35 and rbi for $5.  i also picked up rbi2, major league baseball, baseball, tecmo baseball, pro wrestling, tecmo wrestling, trojan, ninja kid, 3d worldrunner, and ghostbusters (possibly the worst game ever).

Clambutt

IMO Trojan is worse than Ghostbusters.  Major League Baseball is right up there too...

i like trojan.  i popped it in and beat it in about 15 minutes.  i think it was worth the 5 bucks

reading the last post makes me horny

last night went very well.  i beat out some tough competition and walked away with the championship.  the only thing we need to improve on is bracketing.  making a 12 man double elimination bracket is confusing.  next week i am hoping for a 16 man single elimination just to keep it easier.

I was figuring this would be more league and less tournament.

Such as everyone plays a few games a week and you compile the records for a season end tourney.

this was the trial night to see how many people would actually show and to see who was interested enough in joining a league.  i figure next week will have new faces and we may lose some people from last night.  hopefully week after next official league play will begin.

all but one guy had a great time, and i saw him enjoying himself a couple of times even if he wont admit it.  he was duped by his opponent into picking st. louis for his first game and it left a bad taste in his mouth for most of the evening.
