here is the situation....and me and t have decided that the only way to settle this is to throw it in front of gantry...he is seen as the master of this high court..but anyone else is welcome to comment...

the series between the twins and tigers is tied 1-1....we play game three....detroit whips up on minnesota for 8 1/3 innings....alexander is tossing a gem...the tigers bats are hot....we have a 9-0 lead....9-0....then, with t at bat...one out...no one on....3 hits all game....against alexander...........k steps on the cord by mistake and the game is off....unintentional, yet devestating for both sides...

t states that he did not get his fair at bats, therefore the game does not count and the series is tied 1-1....bban feels that because of the situation, the unintentional act....almost like a rainout....the 9th innning....a wipeout.....i think i should get the victory....and all im saying is that i would give t the victory...please keep in mind that bban is writing this and that i may be a bit biased, but those are both sides...i see t's point.....i respect it...but i think that blind pride should take a backseat to honor in this case...so there you have it....please get back to us on this...we will stand by your decision....thanks....18 jones st...

No question aboot it.  BBAN wins.  T, accept the defeat like a man and move to the next game.  Unless you have some kind of bet going or this game is REALLY important to some kind of standings, give it up.  That is the beauty of RBI.  All you have to do is press select, then start, and you are back playing another great game.

you have to go back and look at the ground rules... if the game is reset after the 5th inning it is an official game... thus, bban wins... besides, since it was t who did the act, he would have been responsible regardless of the score... so give bban the victory and put the tigers up 2-1.

but alas gwynn...it was k who did the reseting...my girlfreind....therefore, although it was unintentional....she could be linked to me in some fashion...what a tangled web we weave....

ah  the plot thickens... is there a conspiracy...   all i can offer is that you try and duplicate the situation the best you can...  recalling the score, situation, hitter, and count to the best of your ability and finish the game in that manner.

Per our rules, at any point after the 5th inning the game is official.  Given that the reset was unintentional, higher score wins, regardless of who is up...

Obviously you guys can have your own rules, but if this game was played in the dee-nee house bban would be the winner....

Now is a good time to lay the groundwork for these situations, so you have an answer before the possible scenario comes up again...

now we're talking... an rbi constitution accompanied by a bill of rights...

after 5 it's official, we've used it since we heard about it on the forum. Hasn't happened yet though.

Our problem with constant resets is that we keep our NES on the floor.  This is very stupid, you gotta keep it elevated.  We have no room on the TV stand though, but we'll have to come up with something....

pines just bought a "new" nintendo with a sign  "rbi only"...  he doesnt want it tainted by any other primitive video game.   it is kept under the pool table so it is relatively safe.

after further review of the forum and his soul....t decided to give me the game from the other night....and the series was ended 4-1 shortly thereafter...it really took the heart out of the twins...and threw life into the mighty tigers.....

No question about it bban wins.  U think the after 5 innings rule settles that one.  Next time be more careful and it wont happen.
