Ozzie Smith was up, and he hits a home run to right. Only thing was, it bounced once, then it stopped. I ran around the bases for an inside-the-park outside-the-park home run.

craig, i am not sure if i understand... what do you mean bounced once?

do you mean it went over the fence and you still had to run the bases and you didnt get your fire works?

thats almost as odd as ozzie hitting a homerun.

The baseball bounced, and then it rolled. The "homerun" animation didn't occur. Oh well, it was a homer anyway.  :)

speaking of glitches:

denny walling scooped up a sharp grounder to third in a game yesterday and threw the ball between the catcher and first baseman. has anyone seen such a glitch before?

damn near cost me the game.
"is that fake blood?" "why yes it is."

ahh t...a slight err in your memory...it was mr gary gaetti and, as we spoke of but two innnings later, it did lead to your ultimate demise.....the play was quite odd nonetheless

the only time i have seen bad throws are from the outfield wall to third base or home and they just roll just out of the player's reach...  or when the throw is up against the wall down the line and the player throws it into the stands.  as for a bad throw from a third baseman, this is the first i've heard of it.

Wow, it's glitch city over here!

As far as the missed throws, I have only seen an outfielder miss a throw to the infield.  I have never seen the infielder screw up the throw.  Now that I think about it, the missed throw isn't on the giltch page!  It's time for a major update soon, this forum is keeping away from my duties...

usually that outfield to infield glitch does not occur cause any throw that slow is usually cut off... however, the computer can't seem to hit the cut-off man and are prone to this glitch.

Throw glitch has been added to the glossary and Gwynn's theory about why it's more common with the computer makes perfect sense...

you can add novices to that list for they are ignorant to the powers of the cut off man.

here is a glitch that really pissed me off...

it occurred last night during our championship series in which i(mn) was playing pines(dt).  there were two and runners on 1st and third.   a sharp ground ball was hit to short.  natuarally, the runner ran towards home...  greg not knowing if the ball was going to be caught, had his runner on first retreat.  however, the ball was bopped, thus, the batter made it to first base.  where the glitch comes in is that as soon as the batter got to first, the runner at third, who is forced to stand at the plate, was allowed to score...  but since greg had is runner stop, i was still forced the runner at second...  which means that the run should not have counted.
after all, everyone knows that if a force out is recorded as the third out, it doesnt matter if the runner makes it before it is made... obviously, an oversight at tengen.
