Official Fantasy RBI Winter 2006 Draft Thread

Here are the basics to follow:

- The draft will consist of 16 rounds. Your starting line-up must consist of 1 C, 4 IFs and 3 OFs. Your pitching staff must have 2 SP and 2 RP. You will have four additional bench players of any position.

- When it's your turn, you have one hour to make a selection. If you go over that time, you will be skipped. The "official" clock runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific on weekdays. Meaning that if it is your turn starting at 5:30 p.m. Pacific, you technically have until 8:30 a.m. the next day to make a pick. Of course, if it is your turn you can make your pick after the draft hours - that's just there as a way to speed things up.

- Because of the timing, it's very, very important that people stay on top of when they are up. If you are going to be up soon but know you won't be on Dee-Nee, get me some proxy selections via PM. Since I'm not playing, there's no risk of anything funny going on. I'll also PM people when it's their turn, and if you send me your IM information, I can get picks from you that way.

- Draft is snake style, with order selected at random. The draft order is:

2. The Frank Tanana All-Stars
3. GoReds/TBT
4. The OC
5. GDavis
6. Nacho
7. The Mexican Hermaphrodite Whores
8. AttaRack
9. The Hip Young Popes
10. The Nimrods

- We're going to continue the two Division system. The season will be 13 games - you'll play everyone in your Division twice and out of Division once. The top two teams in each Division play a Best of 3 LCS, and then a Best of 7 World Series follows.

Any other questions? The Poopydicks are free to make their choice whenever they would like - the draft doesn't "start" until tomorrow, but they can select at any time.

That's the ironic part. I kept all the returning teams in their Division from last season. It just worked out that way.

Yeah, you'll set your line-ups, bench, pitching rotation, etc., before each week's games. You can also make trades with other teams, etc. Then, the games are simulated. The game files are posted so you can watch if you want, and then the box scores are posted, etc.
