Wilie Hernandez is the glue that keeps detroit from falling apart for me, so hence forth he recieved 1 point.

I almost voted for Dayley.

I'm surprised at how little attention Tudor and Brunansky have gotten.

TbT

Tudor for sure.  I guess he's not the sexy pick.  ;D  Bruno i guess is overlooked due to mis-conception that MIN cant do much offensively.  they do have some decent bats.

I was tempted to vote Jack Clark as my last pick....that guy gets on base 4 times a game vs me due to IBB's.  hes a guy that i have to game plan for.  Ive had the bases loaded and clark came up and i walked in a run just to not face him.  hernandez who im certain wont make it even if the HOF was 40 players is just one of "my" guys.

I thought long and hard about putting Tudor on my ballet and looking back I probably should have because he's my favorite pitcher and in my opinion the best in the game.

1: Tudor (seriously, what the fuck McLane?)

I suck.  I suck hard.  I rushed my vote.  I saw fighton's list, thought it looked pretty good and copy/pasted it.  I suck.  Will Tudor ever forgive me?

I almost made Brunansky my #6

I was going to put Tudor on my list, but I didn't want more than half my picks to be pitchers since I don't play ATG that often.
Baylor and Brnsky (and possibly CDavis) would have made my list if there were no pitchers on it.

I didn't put a pitcher on the list since I think that RBI is a hitters game (from the perspective of the average player) and not a pitcher's game. And I'm not entirely sure that a John Tudor is that much more dominant than the average pitcher (i.e. a good player can make an average pitcher work for him), while a Dawson or McGwire is dangerous in anyone's hands.

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

TβG

1 (6 points)-Dawson - OF - the best overall player in the game.
2 (5 points)-McGwire - IF - the top rated infielder.
3 (4 points)-Gooden - SP - awesome fantasy production and good all-around mix of atributes.
4 (3 points)-DaEvans - IF (LH) - a rare combination of position and left handedness.
5 (2 points)-Carter - C - the top rated catcher. only laudner is close, but he doesn't bat 4th.
6 (1 point)-Burks - PH - only murph is ranked higher, but tim's speed rating puts him over the top.

Burks is in a 10 year slump for me. As a kid, he was dominant, now, not so much. Carter kinda sucks for me. He seems to only  hit bombs when the game is already decided either way.

That's funny.  I think of Burks the same way.  When I was a young'in, I used to argue with everyone that Burks was the best player in the game.  It seems like he always did better for me.
Now not so much.

I think it may have something to do with leadoff men (I always batted Burks leadoff as a kid).  Through the years I probably had a ton more abs with Burks (since he batted first), so I just remembered more total home runs.
Similar goes for Trammell.  He is not nearly has good as I remember him.

Darky

1 (6 points)- Reggie Jackson, the best all around hitter in the game. His power to all fields and his powerful contact consistency is unmatched by anyone.

2 (5 points)- Dale Murphy, Great power, good speed, and one of the best gap hitters in the league.

3 (4 points)- Chili Davis, savvy player who has excelled through the years at continually driving in crucial runs or setting up the table late in the game.

4 (3 points)- Andre Dawson, Great all around hitter with remarkable power to all fields.

5 (2 points)- Tim Raines, the complete package. Speed and power is what defines Tim Raines. Most physically gifted rbi player in the league.

6 (1 point)- Mike Krukow, I felt that I should include one pitcher. Mike Krukow is the best big game pitcher. His assortment of curves, sliders, and off speed pitches make it hard for hitters to get solid contact. Cal Ripken once said after a Mike Krukow perfect game " When he is on, hitting is like trying to catch a fly with chopsticks".

I think Clemens and Franco deserve honorary membership, even if they don't make it in the voting.  Perhaps a wing devoted to their honor.

i hope i draw TBT or Dirt in the ohio tourney so i can go yard against orosco.  There is nothing finer in life than drilling back to back to back against that subpar submariner

Briznock

I actually think hitting a Matt Nokes walk off to end your 24 hour RBI marathon against your most heated RBI rival who just so happens to be the biggest hater of Matt Nokes ever is a little better in my book....

The only thing that could have been scripted any better the end of that marathon would have been me being nude.
