Hi. I just joined after being a guest for a couple of weeks. Great site! Anyway, what is the most runs you've scored in a ballgame? Mine is 32. Only thing is, I lost in extra innings.  :P

that is a tough loss to swallow there craig...  honestly, i cant remember the most runs i have scored in a game but i do know that i once had 23 doubles in a game...

our games are usually low scoring in curve style.

I can't remember exact numbers right now (Maybe Gantry could help me out), but total runs between two players, in straight pitch, we have gotten near or above 50 runs.
RBI isn't just a game, it's a lifestyle...

i think he means for one team... but i am not sure...
i can imagine that a slow pitch softball game could get that high.   we scored 43 in a game once   so i would think that wouldn't be out of the question for straight pitch(i.e. softball).

It's pretty tough to get a ton of runs for one team,  cause of the 10 run mercy, but in a slugfest maybe one team could get like 20, in our curve-style matches I dont' think anyone has ever gotten in the twenties.

I know against the computer I scored like 28 runs in like the second inning once, so it was like 32-0 after 2 innings. That was a lot.

28 runs in one inning pines... i'm impressed...

our games are high scoring if we get above 10 runs combined...

i agree that in curve pitch, it is tough to have high scoring games....however, me and t have gotten up there in runs in some of our games.....25 combined was probably the record....in solo play, its all been a blur for the most part...i remember dipping into the 30's in my glory days against my brother and i know ive rung up over 30 against the computer....granted, these are but one time things...the key is to have a huge inning like pines spoke about where the computer refuses to take out his pitcher and you can just tee off on him
A couple of jesters? In the court of the king! IS THAT WHAT YOU'RE TELLING ME?!?!?!?

the computer is pretty arogant when it comes to pulling a pitcher... they will never do it in the middle of an inning....  thus,  their hurlers lose it and they have to take one for the team.

I believe Potsie and I had a 30-28 game one time in NES RBI...

In Arcade, Sperling and I had a major slugfest with my Yanks going against his Red Sox.  The homers wouldn't stop, and by the end it was something like 38-33 Boston.  To be fair though, we were impressively drunk on SoCo and I'm sure there were plenty o' fielding screwups...

We dont' hear much about the Arcade league much anymore, Me, Joe and Burnzky mainly play the Tengen, probably because we are too lazy to stand the whole game, and it's hard to fit me and Joe in are shoulders are too wide.

But it is very important to play it still, half the RBI title depends upon it.

burnzky's size is definately an advantage as far as the arcade is concerned...  whenever i play, my back hurts after a few innings.   that is a big reason why i suck ass on that machine.

We have the small, sit-down version of the Arcade version but it isn't without its problems.  First off, the game is too narrow and you end up bunching shoulders.  Also, the person on the right side is at a defintie disadvantage, the controller doesn't like to throw to 2nd everytime and it's tougher to line-up...

It doesn't get as much action as it should, but we'll play the occasional game on it....

ours has the same problem... throwing to second is a crapshoot...  it takes practice.

On our game the throw to 2nd from controller two takes more patience than anything else.  You have to abandon the super-fast throw and hold up for longer than usual before pressing the throw button.  It can affect the outcome of the game, which kinda sucks...

Not quite sure what the most runs in one game for us was.  Probably around 30.  I know one game though, i was California against Joe's Detroit.  I got blasted and was run ruled in the third inning or fourth inning with the score 22-10.  I am assuming that would have been our highest scoring game, in not for the run rule.
