Sad news as Lew Burdette has passed at the age of 80. He was always a good pitcher and usually rumored to doctor the ball, once asked he responded along the lines of "regardless, it gives them something else to think about, so advantage me"

I'm kinda sad about this.

i used him in whatifsports a couple of times.  i was at a bar after work with some people tonight, and i saw the ticker on ESPN saying he died.  I said "aw man, lew burdette died" and everyone else just ignored me.

For anyone that doesn't know, he is an Arcade RBIer on the Braves

Am I bad person for always getting Lew Burdette and Lou Boudreau mixed up?

Attezz

Yes.

Especially since one is a pitcher and the other is a shortstop (and Denny McLain is banging his daughter).

Atezz - I shall make it a pledge to educate myself on these two fine players today.  Being a bad person should be no person's goal...

i didn't know he was in arcade RBI.  i was wondering why attezz posted this thread in the RBI forums.  however, i would never confuse burdette and boudreau.  that said, who is the worse person, gantry or myself?
