We just got the strangest glitch ever....  Boston vs Cali,  two outs in the bottom of the 9th, 15-15, Boston is up.  Dave Henderson is at the plate.  " He swings!!! " popup behind the catcher.  But wait!!!   The screen turned dirty and climbed upwards, as if there was a deep shot to center.  The ball lands well off-screen to the bottom....

The result?   HOME RUN!!!! Before the homer we see the stadium flags waving in the middle of the field.  Final result?  Lipitz wins on an unheard of glitch.....

Ass....

Yeah, it was a fun night!!!!  We extended the series, after that huge glitch.  I couldn't accept that game five victory even though it was so fun to watch, so we played a couple more.  Gantry won game six pretty badly, and then it came to game seven...

It was a one-run game going into the bottom of the ninth, and with one out, a man on first, and the Wabbit (Wade Boggs) up, Gantry threw the fast ball...  Wade swung and got screwed...  DP...  Oh well, it was a fun series, considering we both were fucking tired as hell like three hours ago.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to the tournament.  This year, I think I have a really good chance to take home the new belt.  But as we all know, it's all about showing up on tourney day -- that's the key...but I'm primed, and I'm ready!!  We haven't set the date yet, but come April...The Wrath of Lipitz will be felt!!!!!!

One more thing, a new nickname has been born.  G G G for Go Go Gedman.  He really learned to like that nickname today.  What a stud.  I'm finally playing a solid second team.  Come tourney time, that will help tremendously...

GP--

Whatcha doing up so late, man?  I thought I was going to be the last to post tonight, and then I see your name owning the post.  What gives?  Just Kidding!!  One of our cartridges was getting real dirty tonight as the other would barely BOP.  I'm not sure if the cartridge made the difference, but damn...it was fun tonight!!!!

Gwynn, you are awake too?  RBI is so solid, and that's why we have this website...  Like I said a few times now, tonight was fun as ever...  And the more we all play RBI, the more glitches we'll all see...  I'm sure there's more to come...  Has the strangest glitch happened yet?  I doubt it...  The Ultimate Glitch Part II is just waiting to happen.  It's all of our responsibilities to make sure it happens.

And one more thing...  Prepare yourselves for a new glossary term.  The Paul Bunyan...

That is what I like to see, posts after midnight.  Usually I am the only person posting at this time because I work the damn graveyard shift for the Air Force and I get unlimited internet access.  Sounds like yall had a good night.

It was a very good night, fun all around.  New glitches, new nicknames, and a new glossary term!!   Best part was that there was no moodiness that generally comes with our games.  Even losing was pretty fun, must have been the fact that there were only two of us playing...

To follow up on the cartridges, it was really strange.  On the one cartridge we could not BOP!  We must have played 3 games without a BOP, but we then switched carts because the game reset on us twice.  After that the BOPs started coming.  We have to do some research, but I think one of our new carts is less prone to the BOP...

Come tourney time we're going back to the authentic grey cart...

Yeah were up late, but I'm out here in Mountain time or Arizona time or whatever they call it out here in the desert. But if I'm up and on the computer you bet I'll be on the Forum.

no greg,  you are in arizona and they dont follow daylight savings time...  in a few weeks you will be back on pacific time... so i dont know what they call their time in the desert.  they are the same people who started celebrating mlk jr's birthday so they could host the superbowl.

This website has really come a long way.  It appears that is was just a cult following for a while, but now it has gone National.  Are all time zones represented on this forum now, even the Arizona fucked up time zone?

When I checkout the website logs (haven't done that in awhile), we get hits from all over the place.  Japan, Canada, and a whole bunch of hits from the Czech Republic one time!  It is definitely a national thang with the forum, but we need more international flavor.  At the very least, we should be able to get some Canadian on the forums....

canadians are probably too busy playing nintendo hockey...   you know where they have four player types:  the twig, shorter, even shorter, and fat blob.

what do they call baseball in the czech republic?

Like your post said, wow. What do you do if any glitches occur in a series? Do you count it or do you play another game?

glitches are all part of the game.

however, there is the issue of the game resetting... in that case we go to the rain delay rule... if the home team is winning and had 4 at bats it is an official game...
unfortunately, the weatherman at tengen isnt too good at predicting the weather and lightning may strike at any moment.

that is why we usually keep the nes under a table or restrict any access to its locale.

All glitches must be accepted and are part of all games, official or otherwise...

For our "NES Reset" rule, the game is not official until after 5 innings.  If there is a case where the reset was caused by a human (such as a tossed or bouncing controller), the player who caused the reset automatically loses, regardless of inning...
