A New Thing Happened Today While Playing RBI

Here's a new one for ya:

Riley and I were playing RBI (first time in non-tourney play in the past 2 yrs or so).  I was Bo; Riley was Dt. 

Zero outs.  Zero on. 

I had Clemens at the plate.  Clemens bunted right down the 3rd base line.

As you know, the 3ber covered 3b; Riley kept his P behind the ball, following it but waiting for it go roll foul.  It didn't.  But normally, the 3b, who was standing on the bag, would stop the ball.  But he didn't.  The ball followed the foul line all the way to the wall.  Bunt triple for Clemens.

We both agreed that the 3b always stops that ball unless it's foul.  But it wasn't...but he didn't. 

Odd.  Armas hit a single 2 batters later to score Clemens.  I won 3-2.

You are correct.  Riley did have the LF, but thanks to video game technology available in 1987, the LF was way out of position by the time we both realized that the 3b wasn't going to pick up the ball and the pitcher wasn't going to catch up to it.

Thanks for clarifying the fact that you weren't playing on a no LFer ROM.
