Yeah, he's the forum king...
Yeah, he's a nice guy...

BUT...

He has problems with finishing RBI games when he's losing...  Yeah, I get pissed...  We all get pissed...  But why walk off the game until it says "GAME OVER"?  I don't like that, Potsie doesn't like, and I'm sure many of you don't like that...  Well, all I'm saying is finish the game...  That's all.

Ok...  Onto Potsie...

RBI isn't just a game, it's a lifestyle...

Hey, that's pretty low.  Even if you're getting killed, at least suck it up and play out the rest of the game.  If you are really getting destroyed, you'll just get run ruled and the game will be over anyway.

i agree... throw your controller... kick the tv... but finish the game.

"I am not a role model"

And I do agree with everyone else, it's been a bad little drunken habit I've picked up recently.  Yesterday was one of my worst RBI nights in a long time, but that's no excuse.  I shall, from this day forth, stop being a whiny bitch and take my poundings like a man.  For the good of sport...

Sometimes when i'm getting rocked and no i'm gonna get killed, I find it really relaxing to bean a bunch of players in a row.  It takes away some of the frustration of losing.  They may lead to an ever bigger inning by the opposing team but who cares? You were gonna lose anyway.

Beaning can be a good way to get some frustration out, plus I don't think you have to drink when you bean someone, unless you hit 4 in a row.

We don't have a bean rule, mostly due to straight-pitch.  No balls of any kind are allowed.  If we did allow beaning, guys like Jackson, Gibson, Evans etc would never end up batting...

This has to be one of the funniest and coolest sites I've ever seen.  I'm looking to re-establish my ownership of both the NES and RBI baseball because of this site.  The team by team analysis had me cracking up at work for hours, which is both good and bad.  Utterly awesome. :o

i know you guys love straight pitch but i still think if you wanted to dose someone it should be allowed... it would add more strategy to your drinking binge-rbi slugfests.  maybe add a few drinks to the guy who does the beaning... after all it saves your pitcher from throwing four wide ones.

It just wouldn't work with our style...  The winner typically averages 15-25 runs a game, and those come from homers.  If you had the ability to bean, many of the top players would never get an atbat.  It would become more of an annoyance than anything else, slows down the game and lowers the production....

Beans would be fun, but we would all end up abusing them....

yeah, it would be pretty dick to bean all the top guys.  We usually only do it occasionally to make it funny. We bean guys like Mookie,  or after a homer, or when the game is out of reach.  It would be wrong to bean the power hitters in the lineup

Don't worry Gantry, finishing prematurely happens to lots of guys...

Scroope

I didn't know that Gantry was my little brother.  Its no fun to win when that happens.
