I just got back into RBI recently and found this board.   It would be great to find people to play in Northern Colorado or specifically the Fort Collins area.  I've never played online but may look into it.  I have a couple of people that I play now but would love to find more in the area.  Thanks!

What's your favorite beer?

Do you go to the University?

Suckerpunch

Cold beer, but I prefer a marg from the Rio.
Graduated from CSU in'96.

Did some skater kids every steal your bike? If so, you might want to take it up with Bonny/Ace...also, if you ever had a "personal" encounter with Bradlee Van Pelt, please share...

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

Late 80's/early 90's CSU campus was free mountain bike heaven.

Is the Hunt Club still open?

Suckerpunch

I did have a bike stolen and yes the CSU campus had a huge problem with bike theives.  No encounters with BVP though, but I did enjoy his football skills and don't understand why the Broncos cut him or played him behind Plummer.  I did run into Brady Smith(last I heard playing DE for the NO Saints) and spilled a monster beer on him.  All 6'4" and 300 and some pounds of him then tried to start a fight with me(5'5" and 140) but fortunately my fellow rugby players were there to back me up, and the bar threw all of us ruggers out to prevent a brawl between the rugby team and football players.  We were already on probation so it was probably a good thing.  I also had my towel stolen by Earl Bruce while showering in the local health club.  He did get me a new one and apologized and then we talked about the Buckeyes for a while as I was born and raised in Columbus.
The Hunt club is still open but the Debbie Does Donut shop was closed down.

The Pulse?

One of my old HS friends took Earl Bruce's daughter's ass cherry.

This is very important...

Who do you support in the Tri-Nations...All Blacks, Springboks, or those fag Wallabies?

Or are you waiting for the Pumas to turn it into a Quad-Nations before throwing your support around?

Attezz

Also, who are you pulling for in the Stanford 20/20 (assuming you're in Fort Collins)

Suckerpunch

I will have to go with New Zealand because the Haka is just too damn intimadating.
It's kinda weird driving around town and seeing cricket billboards all over the place and, we even have a cable station showing games every night.  Some guy is wasting an ass ton of money!  I believe he is only advertising in Fort Collins as some sort of test market?

bonny

The Norteno Bloods are a vicious bunch.

FAVORITE FT COLLINS WINTER PASTIME OTHER THAN STEALING BIKES

-E braking thru tight neighborhood streets near old town
-Warm booths at the Book Ranch

Basically, it's kinda admirable what he's doing, Allen Stanford, spending a TON of his own money because his favorite team growing up has run into hard times (West Indies).

Anyway, go USVI!!!

To answer the original question, I am in Longmont.  The next closest poster that I am aware of is in the Dakotas.

BOOYAH!!! Colorado State Alum!!!  Welcome aboard.  I hope to make it to a game sometime soon.

I am a big CSU fan, started with the 1999-2000 football and basketball teams and made a large leap with Bradlee Van Pelt and Cecil Sapp.

When I make it out for a Rams football game in the next couple years, I'll be a Colorado RBI'er for a few days.

And i guess one more thing about the Stanford 20/20, don't judge cricket based on the first round of matches (which have been awful), wait until the quarters come when the quality will get better, and than try to watch the India/Australia match tomorrow at 3:30 AM for the best quality of limited overs cricket in history.

Suckerpunch

CSU football was a lot of fun to watch but lately it has been pretty disappointing and I believe Sonny Lubick just retired.  Still, Fort Collins is a fun town to visit and Money magazine recently voted us the #1 city to live in.   We would surely welcome another RBI'er as they appear to be pretty scarce.

You are right about the quality of the Cricket matches.  A buddy of mine from England who plays on the local team here said the early matches have been poor and they should start getting much better.

How'd you get so good at ping pong?

Suckerpunch

Do you mean table tennis?

Suckerpunch

I play at the Longmont Table Tennis Club in the St. Vrain Memorial building.
