Congrats Nomaaa.  Dee-Nee's new Sandwich King.

Mr. Blubbo

I loved the 2-run assault comment.  Classic!
Here's your ball!

Stock

Week 12

Attezz vs Stock
Game 1; Despite a 2HR game from Ruth and Yount going 4-4, it still took Stock only 5 innings to put away Attezz.  Griffey/Helton both had 2HR games for Stock.
Game 2; Stock had a horrible game.  He could only put up 14 runs thru 7 innings; Griffey going 0-4 (GIDP) thru 7 innings didn't help.  Attezz was able to stay in the game by default until Stock was finally able to put up a 7-spot in the 8th inning.  Mo Vaughn had 3HRs.
Series MVP goes to Todd Helton; 9-11, 4HRs, 9 RBIs.
LVP goes to Lobert; only 2-8 with 1 RBI in the series loss.
Don't blame... Babe Ruth; 6-8, 3HRs, 6 RBIs in the series loss.

McLane vs Beefmaster
Game 1; McLane scored 2 runs in the 1st inning off a Mantle 2-run HR.  Beef hit 6 HRs in the bottom of the 1st, capped by a Zernial solo walkoff HR.
Game 2; Let's just say there was no lack of offense.  At 124 runs scored, I think this is the highest scoring game to date.  For Beefmaster, Bonds was 9-10, 3HRs.  Frank Robinson was 8-10, 4HRs.  Stuart was 9-10, 5HRs (in a row).  Hornsby had 3HRs (GS).  For McLane, Alomar was 10-11, 2HRs.  Ortiz was 10-11, 2HRs (GS).  Palmer was 11-11, 4HRs, 3 2Bs.  Gorman Thomas had 3HRs (GS).  Beefmaster had a 61-59 lead going into the bottome of the ninth.  McLane ended the game with a Palmer walkoff HR without even recording an out in the inning.  Beefmaster scored 61 runs and lost.
Series MVP goes to Dean Palmer; 11-11, 4HRs, 10 RBIs.
LVP.. Goes to Campanella.  Batted .455 (lowest in the series), and was the only player on either team without a HR.  Considering he was the MVP of the previous series, his falloff may have cost Beefmaster the series sweep.

Nomaaa vs Rack
Game 1; Despite a 2nd inning grand slam from Bagwell (1-3 in the game), Rack was relatively cold.  Nomaaa put up 14 runs in the top of the 4th, and that was enough to put Rack away as he could only put up 2 runs in the 3-4th innings.  Manny went 5-5, 3HRs, 8 RBIs for Nomaaa.
Game 2; Rack remained somewhat cool, and put up doughnuts in the 4th & 5th innings.  Nomaaa staid consistant and ended it in the bottom of the 5th with a  Boone walkoff triple.  Manny was 5-5, 2HRs, and Murphy was 5-5, 3 2Bs.
Series MVP goes to Manny Ramirez; 10-10, 5HRs, 12 RBIs in series sweep.
LVP goes to Ivan Rodriguez; 1-5, 0 HRs in series loss.
Don't blame.... Kiner; 7-8, 4HRs, 10 RBIs in series loss.  Foxx went 8-8 (despite no HRs).

Ultimate vs Ryno
Game 1; All of Ryno's offense came from 2-run HRs from Will Clark and Gary Carter.  However, Ultimate scored 19 runs in the 2nd inning alone.  Kevin Mitchel was 3-3, 2HRs.  McCovey was 4-4 (HR).
Game 2; Ultimate came to play again, scoring 9 & 10 runs in the first two innings.  Despite a 3-3 game for Eric Davis and a 2HR game from Palmiero, Ryno could only put 12 runs on the board thru 3 innings.  Ultimate quickly finished it in the bottom of the 3rd with 3 quick HRs from Soriano, McCovey, & Stargel.  McCovey was 4-4, 3HRs.  Hundley was 3-3, 2HRs.
Series MVP goes to McCovey; 8-8, 4HRs, 12 RBIs.  Mitchel was 6-6, 3HRs, 6 RBIs.
LVP goes to Dawson; 1-3, 0 HRs, 0 RBIs in series loss.
Don't blame... Eric Davis; 5-5 (HR) from the leadoff spot in the series loss.

Fighton vs Shooty
Game 1; Fighton takes game 1 as Shooty can only put 7 runs up in 4 innings.  Kent stole the show; 4-4, 3HRs.  Brett was 3-3, HR, 2 3Bs.  Pujols and Berra only had 2 hits each, but they were all HRs.  Sosa and Parrish ended the first 2 innings for Shooty with DP balls.
Game 2; Shooty turned things around, putting up 18 runs in the first two innings.  Greenberg was 3-3, 2HRs.  Justice and Sosa both had 3-3 games as well for Shooty.  Fighton was 2-8 (as a team) in 2 innings.  Pujols had the only offense with a 2-run HR.
Series MVP goes to Hank Greenberg; 5-5, 4HRs, 11 RBIs.  George Brett was 3-3 with a HR and 2 triples.
LVP goes to Lance Parrish; 1-5 (GIDP).

GDavis vs Nacho
Game 1; Gdavis came out of the gates hard and piled up a 25-9 lead going into the bottom of the 4th.  Nacho was able to survive the storm as Biggio & AROD both hit grand slams in the bottom of the 4th.  Nacho would eventually take the lead in the 6th inning after GDavis could only put up 1 run in the 5-6th innings.  However, GDavis fought back and had a 1 run lead after the top of the ninth.  With only needing 2 runs for the win, Nacho puts up a doughnut in the bottom half of the ninth.  Aaron was 7-8, 5HRs, 9 RBIs in the win.  ARod was 6-8, 4HRs (GS), 10 RBIs in the loss.
Game 1; Nacho puts up 13 runs in the first inning, led by Guererro/Biggio both going 2-2 (HR), and combining for 7 RBIs.  DiMaggio, ARod, & Maris were also 2-2.  GDavis had nothing but a 2-run HR from Fielder in the bottom half.
Series MVP goes to VLAD; 9-10, 2HRs, 5 2Bs, 8 RBIs in series split.  Fielder led in the series with 5 HRs.  AROD led the series with 11 RBIs.
LVP goes to Honus Wagner; 2-9, 0 HRs, 0 RBIs in series split.

AlecTrevylan vs Gantry
Game 1; was all AlecT.  They put up 32 runs in 4 innings.  Burks was 5-5, HR, 8 RBIs.  Gehrig was 6-6 (HR), 3 RBIs.  Ordonez had 4HRs.  Rollins had 3 triples.  Despite Ted Williams/Reggie Jackson combining 7-7 and a Dunn Grand Slam, Gantry could not supply enough offense.
Game 2; was a role reversal from game 1.  Gantry put up 28 runs in 3 innings.   Williams/Jackson combined 10-10 w/ a HR each.  Dunn was 4-5 (3HRs), 7 RBIs.  York was 4-4 (2HRs).  Despite a 2-2 (2HR), 5 RBI game from Mays, AlecT did not get much more offense.
Series MVP goes to Adam Dunn; 7-9, 5HRs (GS), 14 RBIs.  3 Guys batted 1.000 in the series:  Ted Williams (HR), Reggie Jackson (2HRs), and Gehrig (HR).
LVP goes to DeShields; 3-6, 0HRs in series split.

BigHath vs Weathermatt
Game 1; Was close all the way down to the wire.  BigHath scored 13 runs in the 1st inning and Weathermatt scored 13 runs in the second inning to tie it up.  It went back and forth and was tied again at 31 in the 7th inning.  BigHath grew a 7 run lead going into the bottom of the 9th.  Weathermatt's Kingman/Gonzalez/Deer hit HRs in the 9th, but still fell 2 runs short.  Thome led the pack for BigHath; 8-8 (3HRs).  Burkman/Killebrew also had 3HRs in the win.  Kingman had a 4HR game for Weathermatt while Deer hit 3HRs.
Game 2; Weathermatt kept it close thru 2 innings thanks to a Sanders GS & a 2 HR game from Big Mac.  However, after putting up 3 & 4 runs in the first 2 innings, BigHath put up 15 in the 3rd inning and that was enough to end it.  Thome was 4-4 (2HRs).  Burkman was 4-4 (HR), and Bobby Bonds had a GS in 1 of his 2 hits.
Series MVP goes to Thome; 12-12, 5HRs, 9 RBIs in series sweep.
LVP goes to Valentin; 4-9, 0 HRs, 0 RBIs.
Don't blame.... Kingman; 8-11, 5HRs, 10 RBIs in series loss.

fknawesome - I don't even feel bad about losing a game like this.  How long did this game take you to play?

Keep mine the same, except place whoever has a worse batting average between Wagner and Collins in the 9 hole, the other in the 8.
