Re-Peat

Which real-life MLB stadium does the MLB field remind you of the most?

I could make this a poll, but I didn't want to throw a ton of options up...  call me lazy.

Personally, I think if one were to change the scoreboard green and put a clock on it, the place would be a dead ringer for Wrigley.  I know it's a generic kind of design, but everytime I hit one over the walls I can't help but think it's Waveland or Sheffield.  That's weird because I hate the Cubs.

anyone ever notice that if you drop a deuce on someones windshield in sub-freezing temperatures, its pretty damn hard to get off once it freezes.

TbT

thankfully it doesnt resemble 3 rivers stadium, the vet, or that dump the reds used to play in.  worst 9 road games in a row a team could play.

that would be the grounds for terminating that fucking game.

actually, i think it looks the most like a cookie-cutter stadium from those you listed, tbt.

the outfield seating is most similar to dodger stadium, from my memory.  but i wonder if it resembles old county stadium in milwaukee or where cleveland used to play, too??

Yeah, any stadium built in the 70s with no personality to it.

i was going to say the same thing, too. the first thing i thought of was a boxy 3rivers. it sorta does look a lot like cleveland municipal, the way the walls are a bit more squared, plus the hitters eye with the scoreboard right above.

eerie (and not the mistake by the lake).

That looks pretty close right there nomaaa

TβG

since the game came out in japan, maybe it resembles one from over there??

Good call, although it wasn't open yet, I'd say the Tokyo Dome was based on Tengen Field

The outfield seats being one tier, and the scoreboard/hitter's eye are almost identical

TβG

that looks good to me.... but it's a dome....s

Based on the light fixtures, the bowl type configuration, the open air behind the outfield bleachers and the scoreboard/hitter's eye, I'm gonna go with Utsunomiya Kiyohara Stadium I haven't been able to find too many good pictures though.

dude, i would say that's almost perfect.  good work gumshoe [/gantry]

Re-Peat, I just bumpsted a thread with links to many other threads that you might also find interesting - we basically looked inside RBI to see what made it tick, and I don't think any of us will ever be the same again
